Brilliant Tag – Reliable and Easy to Use
The Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 is absolutely brilliant. It’s compact, lightweight, and highly reliable. I’ve attached it to my keys, and it gives me real peace of mind knowing I can easily track them if misplaced. The setup was seamless with the SmartThings app, and the range is impressive. It works perfectly with my Samsung phone, and the sound alert is loud enough to hear even when the tag is buried in a bag or under a cushion. The design has also been improved, is durable, and is water-resistant, which makes it great for everyday use. Battery life is excellent so far, and it’s reassuring to know it will last a long time before needing a replacement.Overall, this is a fantastic little device that does exactly what it promises. It is highly recommended to keep track of your belongings without fuss.

Might be good for pet tracking
I am changing this review to 5 stars as I started getting location data from other Galaxy phones when my cats are out of the Bluetooth range. I bought a pack of 4 of these tags and put 2 onto my 2 cats. Now they both seem to be working fine. Good value, excellent price. No need to charge the battery every other day like in gps tracking devices. Obviously less reliable (relies on other samsung galaxy devices to update location on map) but because of the very cheap price and long lasting battery, and small size I will give 5 stars *****The tag works in 2 different ways1. Within bloototh range you can ring the tag from your mobile phone so you can find it easily. The Bluetooth range was c. 13 metres for me, not 120 metres though.2. If out of range, other passing Galaxy devices will update the location for you on the map. It doesn't happen every minute, but you can get quite a few updates several times a day (or maybe within an hour) so you can find your missing cat.You need to download SmartThings app onto your Gaalxy phone and you can control the Tag from there and see the last location on map. There is also a location history.I bought 2 silicone cases for less than £3 from amazon which go on the collar of the cat. That's great, as the Tag shouldn't be hanging off. It also looks better with the case and more comfy for the cat.

Overpriced, but they are one of the only options for Android users.
Overpriced, but they are one of the only options for Android users. Sadly...They work well though, easy to set up and connect, and they give me peace of mind when travelling with bags, tracking my car etc.

Not suitable for older models of phones
Bought these as a means of keeping track on kids when out and to help locate keys when they go missing. Worked well for hubby's and eldest phones as their phones are newer models but for myself and younger child, our phones are older models (S9) and are not able to download the app a result, which is disappointing.

So far so good...
Easy installation, lovely design, and very accurate! The price is great, works out just over £10 each which is an absolute bargain! I will update my review once I have taken it on holiday with me in a couple of weeks, but so far the set up and using the SmartThings app has been effortless. Very easy to use and track. I do recommend these based on my experience so far.

Useful bit of kit
Was dubious at first being solely reliant on Bluetooth and locked into the Samsung ecosystem but has worked well and stood up to the tests of frequent global air travel. Now have multiple tags for all my luggage and carry on when travelling for work and have been able to track my bags without any issue even when my bags have landed up in a different location to me!! If your a samsung galaxy owner I would highly recommend. Small compact, robust with great battery life. I also keep one in the car as frequently parked in airport long term parking and have always known exactly where my car has been. For the price I think they're well worth the money spent for the utility and peace of mind these tags offer.

Not worth it.
I got this to locate my cats. I've spent 2 days looking for the collar after my cat knocked it off. I can't even connect to it whilst walking around the allotments though it connected yesterday and said near by before dissappearing. It shows approximate location unless you are using the near by search/ ring option. You have to have an android and use Bluetooth. It will ping off other androids if they have Bluetooth on, which is great if you live in a built up area but not in the countryside like me.This tracker is highly rated but at times shows my cat, who are next to me, being down the road before i manually refresh again for it to correct. In other words, they randomly jump around the map even when having updated whilst they are next to me.The near by search is temperamental. My cat will be in front of me and say it near by but not register he is in front, it will show a half green circle and nothing to say you have actually found the item. I can walk passed my cat and it won't say anything. The ring can be too quiet even when it is loud ( not a big issue with cat) however if you can't call the item to you, it will be a challenge finding it without putting you ear up to things. You do have the option to change the sound but even that doesn't help.
