Too short
The book is a fun teaser for DNA, but it left me and my kid wishing for more. I guess that's ok for a "first book", but this felt more like the first chapter of a book.

It will do but VERY pricey for a paperback
This seems to be the best kids book out on DNA but there really isn't much to choose from.Pros: Nice colorful book that grabs your attention. Good basic information (but do identical twins really have the EXACT DNA?).Cons:Costs too much for a paperback. Worth "maybe" $10.00VERY LARGE print(1/2 inch)- like you see in a toddlers book (this could be a pro. if you are showing it to a 1st grade class).Back cover states, "learn all about DNA", that statement is misleading. This book is a very very basic intro to DNA and that's all. The internet can do just as much and more. Save your money unless you are a K-1st grade teacher or just want it as part of your young child's home library collection. The only reason I bought it was to put in on a display table at an elementary level science fair.

Educational & Fun
Despite findings in DNA research over the past couple years, this book is still spot on and a great way for kids to learn more about DNA then most adults know. I'll admit my review may seem biased as I know the author, but I believe it to be true.

Cost way too much!
I was shocked when I got this book in the mail. It is only about 20 pages and it is $19.99!!! THat is a lot of money for a short softback book!
