HorlicksOriginal Malted Drink 400g (Pack of 3)

When I ordered this product, I was careful to order from a vendor who advertised “Horlick’s Traditional “. That is the product that I have been ordering and drinking for the past few years (empty container pictured in first 2 photos). What I received in my most current Amazon order was “Horlick’s Original” (last 2 photos). I surmised that they had just updated the packaging and that the company had decided to rename it Original rather than Traditional. Well, this new Original product is a very fine powder whereas the Traditional was more granular. When I made my first cup of Original,I used 2 heaping teaspoons as I was used to doing with the Traditional. The flavor was very weak and diluted- not the same product at all. Then, I read the mixing instructions. With the Original, you are instructed to use 3-4 heaping teaspoons. Gram weights for each serving of both products is listed as 25 grams. I guess that this finer, powdery version could weigh less per teaspoon?? Bottom line, Original does not taste like the Traditional version. It’s not horrible tasting and I will use it. But, I don’t enjoy it. A big disappointment!!
