Whoever created this contraption is a genius. Makes steaming anything so much easier!!I used to always whip out my always pan with the steamer add on to steam all my foods, but now I can just add water, plop my food in, and microwave as needed. Saves me time from waiting for water to boil and from cleaning everything afterwards. It is all lightweight and comes apart for easy clean up. I barely reach for my bamboo steamer after getting this.My only concern is what kind of plastic is used to make this. It states that it is durable and made to withstand temperatures of 0-250 degrees F. So a quick microwave heat up should be fine. I've been using 2 minute settings only to heat up buns. Anything longer I begin to wonder if it crosses the safety guidelines. I would still use my always pan for steaming veggies.
