Bandai Hobby MG Unicorn Gundam 03 Phenex Model Kit (1/100 Scale)

Expensive but a great build. I love building gundam model kits, but I'm not a true gunpla builder as I don't add the decals and paint details. Regardless, this is a great kit and looks great without all of the additional details. I wouldn't recommend for a first time project but definitely recommend it for any gundam fan. Fantastic looking model, especially when "transformed" to show all the blue bits. This was my first MG and it was very easy to assemble. The injection marks are highly visible on the gold parts. The paint is a shiny gold, but the plastic is white. I recommend using a gold marker to cover them up. I used metallic gold from the "GSI Creos AMS 121 Gundam Metallic Marker Set". It worked very well.

so after knoing that all master grade unicorns phsyco frame reacts to uv light i notices the blue looks amazing and the gold makes this really stand out, yes it is pricei but its fun to built, anx transforming it is not bad at all but you will need a bit of patients. above alll great figure for any gundam collector and or unicorn fans

Cutting nubs leaves big white spots on the Gundam. This gundam does not have under nubs. Pieces are brittle and very easy to snap off small pieces. It is hard to transform without a high risk to break the pieces.All in all the experience was not worth it. Buy a normal unicorn gundam and paint it gloss black, with a coat of gloss gold instead.

In my experience, reviews of this kit tend to boil down to "it isn't that great, but OH MY GOD IT'S SO SHINY!" And honestly... that's a pretty good description of this kit, really.Pros:- It's shiny. REALLY shiny. Shinier than any kit I've ever seen. We're past you-can-see-your-face-in-it shiny; we have reached you-can-use-it-as-a-shaving-mirror shiny.- The contrast of the blue on the gold is glorious; fantastic color choice.- The new head mold is easily my favorite unicorn head; instead of a horn, we get what looks like a bunch of swept-back feathers, playing into the whole bird motif. Awesome.- Tons and tons of waterslide decals, many of which are new.Cons:- It's shiny. You won't just see your face in it; you'll see every damn fingerprint you've ever left on it as well.- Since you can only chrome out the surface of a piece of plastic, this kit has bad nubs EVERYWHERE. A gold gundam marker is a must-have for this kit.- Those shield/wing/gun things make it incredibly back-heavy; it's almost impossible to get it to stand with them attached. You'll need a stand for this guy.- There are only four or five pieces to this kit that you've never built before, and they're all in the new head piece. Let's be honest: if you pay for this kit, you are paying for the chrome and almost nothing else; it's a very derivative kit.At the end of the day, it's one of the most eye-catching kits you'll ever see... but be careful when building it. To get the most out of it, you'll have to be at least semi-experienced with building gunpla.

It's a very thick box compared to the mg rx-0 and the banshee. The color of the metallic pieces in nice and bright and have a nice sheen to them. Overall am happy that I was able to get this Find an at a steal of a deal.

Beautiful model. Understand there will be spots from sprue cutting and with any coated part u will need to paint or cover it if you dont want to see white plastic. I used liquid gold marker and cant tell the difference
