I’m an OT working on an acute rehab unit specializing in neuro rehab. I have many patients with hemi plegia and or moderate tone in the fingers. helping people with his issue is quite challenging. I saw this item and decided to try it out on some of my in patients. After trying the Neuro paddle, I was very impressed with how it helped to maintain my patients fingers into extension. They were also able to perform weight bearing activities with it on. If you do use it when your patient is weight bearing, loosen the wrist strap and it can be painful on the wrist crease when the patients wrist is extended. Also, placing a small piece of dycem can help keep the paddle stable during weight bearing as it is made of plastic. I used to make my own paddle using splinting material and it would take hours to make. This item is a game changer IMO for my practice. Note: haven’t tried this on anyone with high tone. Not sure this is the product for that type of patient. Definitely for someone with mild to moderate tone, that has ability to extend the wrist, fingers, and thumb with assistance.

Hard plastic and cuts thin skin. Waste of money, junk!

This is great! I thought I was going to have trouble getting it on but I pre adjusted the Velcro holders so I could wiggle it on like a glove! I can’t wait to see the results for my hand!!!

It was uncomfortable and did not serve the purpose it was created for.

Too big

My right hand is deformed from rheumatoid arthritis and thus was too hard for me

This is what we needed, trying to get fingers working again.

Really good for the price, have the job done, is really good to keep the hand in place specifically for those persons with neuro/ muscular issues.
