Lock cylinder works as described
Perfect. This lock cylinder set worked to solve my issue in this hyundai sonata. When I bought the car I only received one key and no key fob. Little did I know by locking my door I would get locked out. Once I got into the car the security system when off and what a pain that was to deal with. I decided to change out the lock cylinders amd this set did the trick. Definitely a problem solver for me amd highly recommend this set 👌

Fits 2015 Kia Rio.. My key wouldn’t turn anymore i removed the old switch and put this one in it took me about 5 minutes and i never work on my own car 100% recommend

Big money saver.
It works for my 2014 Hyundai sonata GLS. The key insertion isn't the smoothest, but I'm guessing a little grease will do the job. But otherwise, I'm thankful... did it myself no problem. Would have been hundreds just for the OEM part at the dealership.

In Canada, all the Sonata's had a chipped key whereas in the USA they did not. This kit would work perfect in a US car but here in Canada the ignition will turn over but car will not fire as it does not recognize the key. I have a $2000 scan tool and it wouldn't program the ignition so I went to a friend who is a auto locksmith and he explained the above. As I bought this kit to re-key a used 2012 Sonata (trunk and door locks worked perfect, BTW) the solution was swap the new lock cylinder into the old ignition module then cut new chipped keys to match. Cost $150 but now I have 2 keys that open the trunk, door and start the car.
