Lyons Original Irish Tea...very nice tea
Having given up coffee several months ago, I am now a confirmed tea drinker. My journey began with purchasing several brands of black tea (at all price points, but all with origins in the UK) here on Amazon based on Amazon customer reviews. Lyons Original is up there with the best. Very flavorful, rich, and quite satisfying especially in the morning. Another reviewer described it as "malty," which is an apt description of this tasty Irish-origin tea. Lyons will remain in my current rotation along with a couple of Harney & Sons black teas (pricey but worth every penny), Taylor's Yorkshire Gold (excellent value), and Taylor's Scottish Breakfast Tea, all very fine teas.UPDATE: After more than a year of exploring the world of tea, I have to give an enthusiastic, unqualified thumbs-up to Lyon's Original Irish Tea. For the price, I can't find a better black tea. For that matter, I've tried certain black teas that are double, even treble the price of Lyon's that would not justify leaving Lyon's in the cupboard. I prefer strong, bold tea which requires a brewing time in excess of the typical 4-6 minute brewing recommended by most blenders. I have found that many teas, no matter how good they are, will not stand up to a long brew time. Lyon's does. An 8 minute Lyon's brew (even longer when I absentmindedly forget my brewing tea) yields a strong, mellow, rich, dark brew that is outstanding straight-up, with lemon, or milk/cream...never bitter, never tannic.Kudos to Lyon's. Keep up the good blending and don't change anything!

No longer have to wait for someone to go to Ireland and bring it back for me
Best tea round and cannot find it locally where we are in the US. Shipping was fast.

Great flavor- less bitter
Hands down the best the mass market blended black tea. Not as bitter as other teas, even gold blends, when steeped 3 minutes. Flavorful- doesn't need sweetening or milk. A little pricey but worth it as Lyon's is impossible to find in stores.

A little slice of "Puts a smile on my face"
To start, unless you are from the south west of the US you've probably never heard of Fresh and Easy. A great little neighborhood market that carried the most wonderful Irish Breakfast store brand tea. Sadly they closed their doors permanently several months ago and I was no longer able to get my favorite morning drink. Since they left no way available to inquire as to which brand of tea they repackaged I began trying every brand of Irish Breakfast tea I could get my hands on. Some I had to laugh at that they could even call themselves an Irish breakfast. Others were like "nope" definently not it! And still others proclaimed they were Ireland's best, but still lacked that strong distinct flavor.... Finally I came to Lyons, and let me say... Thank you!!! Couldn't wait to have my first cup when I got home from the post office yesterday afternoon... The color was spot on, the smell rich and earthy, and the taste... a smooth and malty perfection :D In point of fact, I must say, it's even better than my old morning cup of "wake you up relaxation tea!" So if you carry any hesitation, cast it aside and give this wonderful tea a try! You won't regret it :)

A very nice cuppa
This tea is very comparable to the other Irish and British teas that I buy. Brews into a very nicely flavored cup for morning or an afternoon tea break. Not sure it such a stand out that it would replace the brands I usually buy.

Truly a revelation.
I generally like iced tea, but hot tea is reserved for when I'm not feeling well. But I recently had a cup of Irish tea that I really enjoyed (don't know the brand) so I came to the realization that most of what we have in the house is Earl Grey, which is the problem. I don't like Earl Grey.So I decided to give this a try based on the reviews and I'm impressed. This tea can be brewed as strong as you like without the overpowering tannic bite that is so prevalent in American grocery store brands, and what most of us likely grew up with. I've found Lyons to be smooth and enjoyable, with a slightly different flavor than what I'm used to, but in a good way. I don't know how to describe it, it's subtle, but it's there.I'm a coffee drinker, but this is good enough that I very well may switch things up now and then and have tea instead. For me, that's a huge deal. This is great stuff, and I'm very glad I tried it.
