aosu Solar Camera Outdoor Wireless for Home Surveillance,Fixed Solar Panel

I was questionable when I received this as you could tell it was obviously a return, but the packaging was still new and everything was still attached so we got it installed. The setup was very easy and it seemed that I could get reception pretty much anywhere on my deck so I was happy with that. Was super easy to set up and the picture qualities is great. We got this so we can monitor our cat outside in the catio. It did immediately ask me for a membership, but we decided to just install a microSD card instead for storage. It’s very functionable even without paying for a membership if you just want it for basic monitoring.. It seemed like it was kind of lagging you while we were getting it installed, but once I had it hooked up where it was supposed to be and left it alone, the lag time went away. I’m able to zoom in and out on my kitty and rotate it around my deck. It’s got a great view. The device seems sort of on the big side, but it doesn’t seem to be a problem for us.

So far, 5 stars! Easy to install, straightforward instructions, connectivity was instant. I cannot complain. I've had it for only several days so I can't give a longevity report, but I plan to in the near future. What I will add, is that so far it's working great and efficient and it covers quite a bit of space. It's about a 270° pan.... gives you plenty of space to be able to look at if you have a fairly large property to pay attention to. I have a small cottage house, but a large property, so I want to be able to see as much as I can on one side and then I'll get another camera for the complete other side. I'm so satisfied and I have to say the reviews are what sold me and many of them are accurate. I also like that you don't have to have a subscription, but I added the basic just because.

I bought this on Prime day so I got a good price for it. I have to say it works very well the picture is a lot clearer than my ring doorbell camera. It's very nice camera I highly recommend

Very good camera, clear picture and great tracking motion. A little slow but I believe it’s my internet that causes that . I bought one to test it and worked so well I thought I’d buy 4 more and suddenly Amazon said they can’t ship to my location in the Philippines. Okie dokie I’ll buy elsewhere then.

Wireless and solar. Easy set up and installation. Great basic security camera. 30 day loop cloud data storage runs about $6/mo. PER CAMERA.... Which I find is reasonable. This camera is 2k which is actually even BETTER for those local wireless networks that are weaker (like marinas) and cannot handle the larger data associated with better resolution cameras. Bought one... liked it and bought a second. Mine are on movable rail mounts positioned high on a motor yacht. Piece of mind when not on board! ⚓

bought mine 3 days ago, installed it just now. After following directions the camera charged and turned on correctly. After installing the AOSU app, it connected quickly and worked flawlessly. I now can see anyone approaching my door. I did not pay for alerts, but I have a very effective tool to help keep me and mine safe. I would buy this again in a heartbeat. But you will need an android phone or the add on monitor. No idea how it will stand up at this point. Love the mount system.

This camera is an OK camera. But the first thing I wanna mention is this: i bought this camera for its auto tracking ability for the busy street infront of my house. I live infront of an elementary school and wanted to track potential thefts and it is seriously struggling to track people. Today I look at my camera to see if it tracked the mailman. It did not. It tracked him leaving my house,but not walking up, because it tracked a dog walker first and stopped recording. In the video i couldnt post, you see the mailman across the street and it doesnt track him again until he is leaving my house, the video I did post. Other tid bits about this camera: Tracks pets even though it says it only tracks humans and cars Has an option to change your voice but only comes with one tone change that you can kinda tell is fake Has a 360 button that when you press immediately searches the area, does not stop and track people during this, you have to do it manually Normal night vision is black and white but when it catches movement it using lights in the camera to brighten the area causing it to be color again. Does not have continuous recording, only records events. Which makes tracking people coming onto your property when there is more then one person difficult It has an alarm button. I have it set to manual alarm but you can set it up to alarm at people coming into view of the camera The camera does have wide range, but you have to set the camera to the position you want as the motion detector does not have a good range and only detects what is infront of it. You would want to set it at the gate for example so if someone goes left or right from the gate it will move that direction. It does not check those areas on its own unless there is movement it catches. You can manually illiminate the area When checking out the pro options for this camera i realized there was no perks besides cloud storage It mentions dangerous animal tracking and gun/weapon tracking. These are not available on this camera. I'm also interested in ai face detection but that only comes on doorbells for this company. When messaging customer service through the app they seemed to have a hard time answering my questions or pointing me in the right direction or even understanding me fully. Over all I believe this camera would be great for a large property with not a ton of people walking through everyday/ or even as a backyard camera. I would not buy this camera as your main form of defense though.

All of the camera missed and event. This camera is worthy. Is always full charge, very good graphics, alarm is useful, speaker is useful, in general 360° view is great. I'll recommend 👌

I bought this along with the along with the Eufy S340 and I think the AOSU Solar Camera is far better and much better value for money.

This is a good value for the price. It takes amazing footage and is very easy to connect to your phone so you can watch what is happening from wherever you have WiFi. The camera tracks movement, so that proves to be very helpful instead of having a static view. There is also a good field of vision that it covers enabling you to take in quite a bit of territory. There is also night vision so it can give you a clue about how that blasted porcupine is getting up in your fruit trees (why I bought it) and destroying them or for whatever night time vision you might need. I bought mine about a year ago and it performed well until winter when I shut it off and did not use it. When I went to hook it up again this spring, I could not get it to connect to WiFi. I wrote the company about it (because let's face it -- companies don't really want to talk to you anymore) and they got back with me the next day (wow). I answered a couple of questions from them and the day after that, they wrote saying they believed the item was defective and they were sending me a new model. It is due to arrive Friday. Their communications were professional and friendly and the English back and forth flawless. I am very impressed.

Love the camera, easy to install. Notifications are sent to my phone. Being based in Australia we get plenty of sunlight so the solar panel has no issues.
