A good torch with a simple on off button that just works. I have a similar more expensive version with three modes. Great bit of kit but it drives me to distraction by selecting a different mode if you happen to turn it off then back on again. These are four quid each and do the trick.

These appear to be good quality items and at £4.25 each, cheap. They do exactly what a torch should do, press the button and you get a strong bright light. Press it again and it goes off. If you aren't a fan of the "press the button 15 times to get mode X", then these will suit you (and me), has anyone ever used the dazzle or SOS function? The beam can be focussed so highly that it will project the shape of the LED in full zoom. Zoom out and you get a bright wide beam suitable for all home use. They can be powered by either 3 AAA dry cells or a 18650 Lion rechargable and there doesn't seem to be any difference in light output from the two battery types. Both will light up a large room on there own or light a path ahead. They will also light up the tops of tall trees. They fit well in the hand, feeling substantial, like a quality product. The ON/OFF button can glow in the dark, but it will need a lot of light to "charge" it, then it only gives a very low level glow. It is visible in complete darkness for some time based on the ones I have checked. And it's useful having 4 as I have already misplaced one... how is that even possible after a few days? Tell that to my keyring. So overall these are very nice items that work well. My only concern is running them with a 18650 rechargeable one got quite warm, even hot after a few minutes use. This doesn't seem to happen with dry cells as they don't deliver the current that a Lion cell can. So that one has AAA cells in it. Great value and if they last, a great buy.

Metal torches, hard wearing, easy to use with a useful strap attached. Very bright beam which can be narrowed intensifying the light into a smaller area. Just clicks on and off. No other functions but all I need for general use. Can i suggest adding glow min the dark stickers/take to the torch, making the torch easy to find in complete darkness. Anyway, hope you have a GREAT CHRISTMAS.

These are great. I'm seriously impressed. The build quality is pretty good - certainly above average when you compare to the usual cheap three AAA flashlights. The aluminum feels solid and the machining is pretty good - the threads for the battery aren't perfect but they're a lot smoother and better than most. Certainly for how inexpensive these are, these are way better made than you would expect. Even the AAA holder cartridge is well made, solid contacts, and works really well. The switches click firmly and work reliably from the fiddling I've done so far. Obviously time will tell how well they hold up, but first impressions are good. I love the fact that these have two modes - on... and off. No super dim/blindingly overbright/disco inferno modes, just on - and off. They operate exactly how everyone on the planet expects a flashlight to work. Brilliant. I love it. The focusing mechanism is pretty smart. Sure, you can rotate it to slowly focus in and out, or you can just push and pull it and slide it up and down smoothly. It works well - I tend not to need focusing but it's nice to have and well implemented. They run great on NiMH AAAs, but the real reason I wanted these was that they can also use standard 18650 cells. Obviously you need a standalone battery charger, but, this means you can take advantage of the high power density and long life of li-ion batteries. And 18650's are so ubiquitous. I break apart old junk laptop batteries, frequently some of the cells are perfectly good - and a flashlight like this is the perfect application for a maybe kind of used/old battery. I took some cells salvaged from a decade old dead laptop battery and loaded a couple of these flashlights up with them - works perfectly. Nice and bright and the capacity will be a lot better than AAAs - even an old used worn cell like I'm using is about double the capacity of your average NiMH or alkaline AAA. So yeah - flexible, inexpensive, pretty well made, nice and bright - perfect. A great value for the price. Love it. I'm probably going to buy some more of these. It's always nice to have a flashlight handy - a proper one, that's bright and useful unlike the tiny thing on your phone - and these are cheap enough you can keep one everywhere.

Funciona perfecto. Con un solo modo, ideal, sin tantas tonterías que ( como modelos anteriores), lo tienes en modo uno y cualquier toque se cambia solo de modo( a flash por ej.) y es un incordio.
