Not quite! A5 (technically) is 148 X 210mm. The moleskin sketchbook is 130 X 210mm

Hi What’s the difference between this and the (non-“Art”) plain notebook in terms of paper?

I haven't tried the non art one but the art one has a very silky finish on stiff paper which is ideal for pencil drawing and pen and ink..if you want a texture for watercolours this is too smooth for that so water colour washes are a bit more random but still make for an interesting slightly mottled effect. These books are a quality product with nice details and stitching are pleasing objects in themselves.

do drawings/writing etc show through to the next page? (a ghost image type thing?)

it depends on what you're using, i don't think pencil/graphite would show through the other side as the pages are quite thick, but i've done some work in fineliner and marker pens and you can see it faintly. it's not too bad though, nothing like when you use a felt tip on plain old paper and you get the bleeding through to the other side. when i scan the images i sometimes edit out any parts that you can kind of see, but it's not too bad, usually i'll leave it and it looks fine
