This is not a typical DMM, mostly because it doesn't have the traditional mode selector knob and attempts to determine what you're trying to measure. It's partially successful with this, but it's easy enough to set it manually like almost every other meter. More on that later. First impression: Others have commented on the case, and they're right. It's pretty nice, semi-rigid, with a holding strap and places to put the leads and meter. Great job there. It includes standard probe leads and also clips leads, which is very nice; that's just something you don't think about. Sure another set can be purchased, but that's taken care of here. The meter itself is decent construction and the battery compartment screw goes into a brass insert! Again, not major, but nice touch over plastic threads. And the use of AAA batteries instead of a 9V is extra points too. Usability: The built-in flashlight isn't going to light your way down a dark path, but it's plenty good to illuminate a small area you're working on. The display backlight is actually really good. I included a photo but it doesn't quite do it justice. Auto-function: I had to put this in its own section. I've used many meters that are auto-ranging, including this one. But I've never encountered a meter that is auto-function. This meter attempts to figure out what you're trying to measure. You connect it to DC volts, it switches to DC volts. You connect to AC volts, it switches to AC volts. You connect it to a resistor, it switches to resistance. You connect it to low resistance, it switches to continuity. You connect it to a diode, and it.....thinks it's a resistor. You connect it to a capacitor and it's similarly confused. BUT, to be fair the user manual instructs the user to manually choose the function in these cases. Function selection by button is actually advantageous because you can hold the meter and change functions with one hand. I like it. Accuracy: I compared several values of DC and AC volts, resistance, capacitance and diode check with my "good" meter that is over 6X the price and was pleasantly surprised. Voltage and resistance is essentially dead-on. Current is within 1% of my higher-end meter. Capacitance is good too, close enough but I never expect a meter to measure capacitors with sub-1% accuracy. Diode forward voltage check is off by over 10% in one case, but I'm not concerned about that. Each meter may be driving a different amount of current through the diode and that could explain it. The primary purpose of diode check is a good/bad test and it certainly handles that. The internals look decent. I was surprised it actually uses springs to get the battery power to the board and not crappy wires. Great job there. All things considered this is a good buy if you want an overall good value. It's not high-end, but it's also not priced as such. This meter has a good balance of quality, accuracy, accessories and price and honestly is great for someone who doesn't need something considerably more expensive.

I got this digital multimeter to use it around the house. Is a very good multimeter for homeowners to have handy to be able to check many electrical items in the house. With this multimeter I can check any of the electrical outlets in the house. I also can check many parts in my house appliances, like my washing machine and dryer when they stop working. This multimeter come with easy-to-follow instructions and it is easy to learn how to use it.

Meter worked great at first. Generally used only to check auto and small batteries. Used only occasionally, and still looks like new; I put fresh batteries in it; probes in correct position. I turns on; zeros; but now it will not read any DC battery voltage.

I did 4 different operations with it over a week and worked perfectly. I went a day later i went to do a test and it did not test properly. Sent it back I got refund and bought a new one same type. this one works great. great backlighting and even has a built in stand. instructions are pretty easy and with the pictures on the item description also helped. .Delivery was one day and the price was more than reasonable. I admit I am beginner doing electrical work but this tool helped alot

Incredible value for money. Item arrives brand new, with [OH MY] PKCELLLLLLL BATTS, didn't work with Kirkland batteries oddly. Anyways it turns on, beeps, is extremely user friendly with its dial, then i get an email with actually useful troubleshooting tips from the seller. I was messing with it (before my real test of testing my backlight fuse) and it survived my rookie mistake of trying continuity mode with a live battery. Very clever. It tests batteries under load rather than just checking voltage through the BATT mode. Perfect entry level tool for electronics.

I first learned how to use analog multimeters when I was a kid with my dad. Later in college, I was an electronics tech and used expensive FLUKE meters at work, to measure voltages, diodes and much more. I have owned expensive FLUKE meters as well as inexpensive harbor freight meters as well. I did not expect it to be this good. I like that it has a cushion case that makes it look more professional and protects the meter from impact. I also like that it has built-in settings for testing 9v and 1.5v DC batteries that are the most common. Of course, this meter can also be used to check your house AC current at a wall plug, wall switch or light. I like the small compact size of this meter, so it can easily be packed or stored in the car so you have it when you need it. I will soon take this on a trip with me to a friends house to check voltages in an appliance he needs help repairing. I like how you can turn on or turn off the backlight on this meter, the backlight can drain the battery rather quickly, and most meters default to have it. The one thing I didn't like about this meter is that it included 2 AAA heavy duty batteries, instead of alkaline ones, that being said the price was right. Also you will need a Philips screwdriver to install the batteries into this meter. If you are looking to buy a digital multimeter, I recommend this one for sure.

Ich habe mir das Multimeter gekauft um meine Elektronik auf Schwankungen zu überprüfen. Im Lieferumfang ist neben dem Multimeter eine Tasche, eine Anleitung (auch auf Deutsch) sowie die zwei Sätze Prüfkabel, eins mit Klemmen. Die Verabeitung des Gerätes ist für den Preis völlig in Ordnung. Es kommt in einem Plastikgehäuse daher und dieses fühlt sich wertig an. Auch die gebotenen Features sind super. Mit dem Gerät kann ich AC und DC-Strom. Die Messungen sind auch genau. Für meine Einsatzzwecke ist dieser Multimeter super und ich kann dieses nur Empfehlen.

Mein alter VC hat mich mitten in den Bastelarbeiten verlassen. Der Assark kam mir hier recht gut und günstig vor. Bei der Arbeit entpuppt er sich aber als Alleskönner und sehr genau. Misst schnell, und ist praktisch in der Handhabung. Die Tasche ist super, damit verstaut sich das Gerät ohne Schäden in meiner Werkzeugkiste. Die automatischen Messbereiche sind ziemlich komfortabel. Das Gerät ist qualitativ sehr gut und hat alles was ich brauche. Sehr empfehlenswert für diese Preisklasse!

Preiswertes vielseitig verwendbares Messgerät; für 1,5 V und 9 V Batterien gibt es keine Testmöglichkeit unter Belastung.

Es handelt sich um ein einfaches Multimeter mit Automatikmodus. Eine Besonderheit zu üblichen Multimetern ist, dass es das typische Rad zum Einstellen der Messstufen nicht gibt. Ich verwende das Gerät hauptsächlich, um meine Widerstände schnell und einfach zu messen. Was ich toll finde: Im Lieferumfang ist eine sehr kompakte Tasche dabei, in die das Multimeter mit sämtlichem Zubehör und Handbuch gut reinpasst und sich somit perfekt für Transport oder Lagerung eignet.

I am and Engineer, grown up in a family full of Engineers, my father, my mother and my grandfather. I have always used my old family multimeters all my entire life.
