Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flightdeck - Universal HOTAS Simulation Joystick & Throttle with Touch Display, Stick Mounted HUD and Contactless Sensors for Air and Space Combat on Windows 10 & 11

I’ve been using the Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flight Deck for nearly a week now, and I’ve been very impressed. Everything has worked perfectly straight out of the box, and the overall build quality feels excellent. The controls have a great tactile feel, making them satisfying and precise to use, while remaining comfortable during normal flying sessions. The only minor downside I’ve noticed is that the joystick spring is quite strong. While this gives the stick a solid, premium feel, it can lead to some hand discomfort during longer flying sessions. The number of buttons and controls available is fantastic, giving you plenty of options for mapping functions without needing to reach for the keyboard. I’ve been using it exclusively with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, and it’s worked flawlessly. The only adjustment I needed to make was reducing the sensitivity when flying helicopters, which is more of a simulator tuning preference than a fault with the hardware. Another feature I’ve really appreciated is how easy it is to store away. It stays stable during use without needing to be clamped or permanently secured to the desk, making it quick to set up and put away when you’re finished. The only real flaw I can point to is that it’s designed for right-handed use only. If you’re left-handed and aren’t comfortable flying with your right hand, you’ll probably need to look for an alternative. Overall, I’m extremely happy with the VelocityOne Flight Deck and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality HOTAS setup.

Different issues each time ... First one lasted about 6 months and then every button/axis on the joystick completely stopped responding, it stopped lighting up etc. - Amazon didn't offer a replacement despite having them in stock because the price had since gone up, so the only option was a refund. They didn't offer a "collect at home" option so, as a wheelchair user unable to carry this massive box to a post office, I had to arrange my own via DPD. 2 months and 17 instances of me contacting Amazon support later and I finally got my refund, and spent the extra £100 on replacing it with a new one. The new one arrived with a broken throttle; one side had no resistance and simply didn't work. Sent this one back through the post office and had somebody drop it off for me, got a refund (no replacement offered again, despite being in stock at the same price) quickly thanks to the understanding support agent and ordered a 3rd one. This one arrived and the left throttle had no working LED lights and had a slight grinding noise ... I couldn't be bothered enduring another refund process so just kept using it. Several weeks later and this throttle now occasionally grinds much more loudly, several axes on the throttle randomly decide to reset themselves on occasion (which in a plane/helicopter shuts off my fuel and sets my throttle to 50% whilst also releasing my handbrake) not good in the air or on the ground, if my engines are running ... So it's basically past the point of being usable, and I've gone to just refund the item so I can buy something else. However, now, Amazon have changed the options and my only option is to try and get it repaired first. I don't want a 4th of these crappy items; I am taking the hint ... This is not a good product. I don't want one anymore. Now I'm stuck with one and I spent £100 than I was initially willing to spend. Great. Absolutely this gets 1 star. 0 if I could.

I purchased this item to receive my first one defective. Throttle L1 was not registering movement upwards from 70% It's would get to that point accurately but beyond that, if move slowly, it did not register any movement. I returned this and bought a second as the return and replace option was only available directly through Turle Beach. A process that can take up to 8 weeks!! Anyway, I returned the first detective item and ordered a second, which I am happy to report works flawlessly. Very accurate and precise with excellent functionality. Lots of axis, toggles, dials and buttons to program and that's not mentioning the additional switches that can be added on the touch screen. The touch screen can be fully customised and you have the ability to name them which is then displayed on the switches/dials. The screen on the stick has a small display which I find useful, but I'm some will feel it's just a little bit gimmicky. The RGB is beautiful and is colour accurate to other devices I own, such as my Corsair K100 keyboard. Just remember to select "Custom" on the selected colour when choosing section to eliminate in the colour of your choice or when you want different colours in different zones. I have used this on Flight Sim 2020 & Elite Dangerous. Both work beautifully and both the stick and throttle are extremely responsive. Just be aware that there is not profile currently for this HOTAS in Flight Sim 2020 or Elite Dangerous. Be ready to have to program this from scratch yourself. There are a few videos on YouTube with help on how to do this. Hopefully there will be a pre-progamed profile in upcoming updates. Fingers crossed 🤞 All in all an excellent mid range HOTAS for beginners and enthusiasts alike. *Would have been 5* review if not for the first unit I received being defective. I doubt anyone buying this item will be disappointed as long as they receive a fully working unit. Edit: This H.O.T.A.S. Now has a Fight SIM 2020 profile. Works beautifully. Still only has a very basic setup for Elite Dangerous where you will need to change and configure yourself and some of the settings in the profile conflict with what the button/axis does. Great once set up.

Bought this setup back in Oct 24, and initially I was over the moon with it, coming from a Thrustmaster T16000, this was a huge step up, solid, every button had a nice click to it, and all the hats and buttons were in the right place for my play style. sadly, after about 4 months, every button on the joystick stopped working, instantly, no power to the stick at all, the base was good but nothing else, contacted Turtle Beach who talked me through a few things, nothing worked, so I got a replacement from Amazon. All was good again until about 4 months later, when the buttons started failing, one at a time, on the joystick...again. Its a lovely piece of kit, but a 4 month lifespan just ain't good enough! I'm currently using my 10 year old T16000 until I figure what to try next.

Turned up next day as expected, Everything works only done a few hours but so far. im not disappointed ,the only change to mine is on the flight stick the bottom left 3 switch's are different from the ones shown but have the same funslctions and seem solid,yes the throttles are a bit stiff but soon got the knack keeping it on the desk ,maybe a clamp would be a good idea for this but not needed for the stick part as this was pretty easy to maneuver.

The Turtle Beach VelocityOne Flightdeck is a robust piece of hardware, but it is definitely not a 'plug-and-play' experience. I found the manual setup for War Thunder incredibly time-consuming, as the device lacks native profiles in many major titles. Furthermore, the firmware update process is far from intuitive; the VelocityOne Hangar app is quite finicky, and without a successful update, the unit doesn't function properly. It’s easy to see why some reviewers mistake this software hurdle for a hardware defect.

Amazing. Switched my thrustmaster 16000 and rudimentary throttle quadrant for this to play Warthunder sim in VR and DCS and so far all I’ve played is Warthunder, but it works like a charm. Haven’t had this much fun flying in a long time, you have to map out each button for Warthunder and DCS but anyone who plays will know this already. The only complaint I have is that one of the 6-8 hat buttons doesn’t have a binding for if you click down and only works directionally. Would be an issue if there weren’t FIVE OTHER hat switches that do let you bind clicking it. Buy it you won’t be disappointed.

Flight deck not working from the box, but bought it for xmas for my son, so now too late to return. Terrible product it seems

Super Deck, macht Spaß und ist einfach zu verstehen. Gute Verarbeitung, macht einen hochwertigen Eindruck, lediglich das Touch Sreen gefällt mir nicht so gut, ist wohl dann Geschmackssache

Resultatet är en enhet som känns som ett lotteri att få igång. Firmware‑uppdateringarna fungerar ibland, ibland inte alls, och jag har lagt betydligt mer tid på att felsöka än på att faktiskt använda produkten. En snabb sökning online visar att många andra upplever exakt samma problem. Mitt råd är enkelt: undvik den här produkten, spara både tid och pengar och välj något mer pålitligt.
