Simply the best retractable hose on the market. I've wasted money buying Giraffe (bought twice and each lasted less than a year). Only thing that comes close is Vego and the price is so close that it's a wash between the two. 4+ years of almost daily use and sitting outside during the winter with no protection and our Hoselink continued to work flawlessly. The included quick detach bits are nice, but I've switched mine to the more traditional quick detachment options. Other than that, not a single issue. Durability has been solid, installation a breeze, and fit and finish have been superb. The white version does discolor, so this time around I went black. TBD on how well that holds up, particularly in Virginia summers/sunlight. Best of the best. There's a reason the Garden Answer woman has like 80 of them scattered around her property.

Just got mine mounted tonight and it’s great! Seems so well built and the quick connects are awesome. After I got the 4x4 in the ground and back filled installation took like 15 minutes. One thing to note if mounting on a pressure treated 4x4 post like I did, the bracket is too wide to sit nicely on the 4x4 alone, I bought a post sleeve from Lowe’s and a nice cap for the top of it, added a little bit of width to my 4x4 and the mount looks great on it

I got this for Father’s Day and I love it so much. I bought a second one. I know they are expensive, but they are totally worth it.

We have a fairly crowded outdoor patio area. We used to have one of those crank wheel type hose things. Neither my wife nor I would rewind it because it was a pain to wind back (also a pain to unwind), so we had this dirty thing spread out across the patio taking up space looking ugly that only got rewound when we were going to have guests. Enter hoselink... super easy to pull the hose out, equally easy to rewind it back. The attached nozzle didn't have as many options as my old one, but is super high quality, and has all the spray patterns I need and more. I picked hoselink partially because the hose has no lead in it (why we allow hoses with lead in them sold in this country to poison our surroundings I have no idea). My only issues were with installing it, and none of those issues were hoselink's fault. First I tried to attach it to the outside wall of my condo. It didn't work out for me; the only wall that it would work with has a metal shrowd on the inside of the wall for the fireplace. Next I had to learn how to put in a permanent post; it's not a big deal, but if you haven't done it before (and don't have the tools) it is a bit of an additional cost. Because I have an HOA I also had to match the paint fairly precisely to the colors used in the development as opposed to what was lying around that was good enough. Once the post was in, properly painted, installing the hoselink to the post was a breeze. I also got the optional cover... partially for protection, partially because after the fact I realized the black might garner unwanted attention from the HOA. I can't imagine having anything else other than a product like hoselink for watering. Hoselink, where have you been all my life?

The number one reason I bought this hose was to eliminate the need to crank or gather a hose as I age. It is a bit of a pull to extract, but I figure that's a good way to stay fit; and as far as the water flow, yes, it's a bit diminished - but I believed I liked a heavier water flow because I was in a hurry - this forces me to slow down, and isn't that a good thing? We bought the steel post as well and sunk it into the ground. It's holding solid, and it will be a snap to remove when the season is done. Overall, I'd buy it again, as the reviews are great. I wasn't interested in spending 50 bucks less and hating a lesser-value product. I'll take it, and i recommend it. The retraction is incredible. Worth every penny.

I bought a Giraffe first at half the price, but returned it quickly. Seemed too flimsy. Not so the Hoselink. Better built, bigger hose, nicer sprayer, retracts well. The bracket is sturdier and the quick connects worked a lot better than I expected. Water flow is stronger compared to the 1/2-inch Giraffe. I can see why Hoselink is the premium retractable hose company. As long as you put it away in the winter, it should last a long time. Plus you can buy replacement parts.
