Best way to buy English Bluebells
Buyers should be alerted to the fact that from seeds to flowering bulbs usually takes 2 years to come to flower. However, this is preferred to growing from bulbs because, as well as being a lot cheaper, you will know they haven't been taken from native woodlands. These should be planted under or close to deciduous trees, rich with organic matter or enhanced with leafmould. Because seedlings are indistinguishable from grass, I would suggest bringing them on in pots or deep trays, with a little John Innes No1 or sand added to well-rotted leafmould that is kept very moist and shaded.

Four years to wait 😢
These arrived in the smallest pack I’ve ever seen. I’ve sprinkled them on the ground but have to wait FOUR years for any growth. It probably said that in the small print but I missed it. I don’t think they were cheap enough for the overall amount and timescale

Plenty of seeds
I bought these to put into the woods when I scattered my dogs ashes, the seeds went down with him, so it will be a couple of years before they take, fingers crossed
