Nunca leyó los discos de blu Ray, definitivamente caro para lo que ofrece.

I understand the effort. With the trend toward more (reliable) solid-state computers, designers want to remove "moving parts" from their devices. Who would want their MacMini disabled because of a glitch in the DVD player? So those components are now "outboard". This drive lets me watch Blu-ray movies on my Mac Monitor. That's exactly what I bought it for and it works great.

I wish I could give this zero stars because the Wbacon External Blu-ray Drive is quite possibly the worst tech purchase I’ve made in years. Here’s a breakdown of everything wrong with it: 1. Unreliable Performance: This drive has one job—to read and write Blu-rays/DVDs—and it fails miserably. Out of ten attempts to burn a Blu-ray, only two were successful. I experienced constant errors halfway through burns, leading to wasted discs and hours lost. It often fails to recognize standard Blu-rays and DVDs, requiring several reinsertions before the disc is even detected. 2. Excruciatingly Slow: Despite being advertised as a USB 3.0 device, the transfer speeds were sluggish at best. What should have been a 10-minute task to copy files from a Blu-ray stretched to over an hour. It crawls at a snail’s pace, no matter if you use the USB-C or USB-A connection—both are equally abysmal. 3. Compatibility is a Joke: Despite claiming compatibility with Windows, macOS, and Linux, this drive had endless connection issues on all platforms. On Windows, it frequently disconnects in the middle of operations, forcing restarts. On macOS, it wasn’t recognized half the time, even after updating firmware and software. On Linux, it’s as good as a brick—constant driver issues and connection drops made it unusable. 4. Cheap Build Quality: The drive itself feels like it’s made out of the cheapest plastic imaginable. It flexes alarmingly with the slightest pressure, and the disc tray is flimsy, fragile, and rattles when open. I can’t imagine this device lasting more than a couple of months without breaking down entirely. 5. Noisy Beyond Belief: From the moment you power it up, it sounds like an airplane taking off. The noise is so loud that I had to move it to another room just to avoid the headache-inducing racket. Every read and write cycle is accompanied by an obnoxious grinding and whirring sound, so don’t even think about using this in a quiet environment. 6. Awful Customer Support: I reached out to Wbacon’s customer service after facing repeated failures, and their response was less than helpful. They provided generic troubleshooting steps that I had already tried. When I asked for a replacement or refund, they stopped responding entirely. You’re essentially on your own if something goes wrong. 7. Terrible Value for Money: Considering the headaches and wasted discs, this product is overpriced junk. There are plenty of better options on the market—this isn’t one of them. I’d rather use an ancient internal drive from a decade ago than waste another second with this pile of trash. Bottom Line: Stay far, FAR away from the Wbacon External Blu-ray Drive. It’s unreliable, slow, noisy, and poorly built. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this product at all costs. I regret every penny I spent on this worthless gadget.
