Wore out fast
The pants are comfortable but not durable at all. Less than 30 days in them and the crotch wore a hole. No snags or anything, just fell apart. These are $200 pants that just fell apart.I contacted Firstlite and they said I had to return them through Amazon to CleverTraining who is the actual retailer. CleverTraining would not honor the warranty on the material and would only refund me 50% of the cost because it was outside of the 60 day window. I contact Firstlite about the issue and Duke Wasteney told me if I still had the pants I could swap them out. Not possible when Duke had already told me to return them to the vendor. D for quality and F for customer service. I basically paid $95 for to use pants for 12 days worth of hunting.

Quality control? Pfffttt!
Started off bad, hole in them and string unraveling on the pocket and This is the first time wearing them and I’m only in the office. I’m thinking that after a trip in the woods they are going to age fast. Disappointed in thinking that $180 pants can’t handle a day of shuffling papers. Hopefully this is not a true indication of the quality, the more I look them over they sure have a lot of manufacturing flaws. Bad first impression with a brand I wanted to like.

Warm, comfortable, no stink after a week, but not too durable.
WOW! Most amazing fabric I’ve ever seen or felt. You can tell it’s both strong/flexible and high thermal properties. Looks amazing as well. I love the suspenders that were included and kinda want to use them on all my pants now. $170 is a lot for a pair of pants but from the time I received these I never questioned my purchase. These things are badass.Update3/26/20- After one week long elk hunt in walk-in only area these pants are starting to show signs of ware in ankle and calf area. Definitely need to utilize gaiters if you’re going to put a lot of miles on. I’ve found merino is very comfortable and quite warm for the weight but not very durable. Not sure if you can have the best of all three.

Comfortable but very weak.
Very comfortable pant. Quiet in the brush. However they are very weak. Second hike, worked through the tiniest thick spot in some sage and was treated to a large three cornered tear. The fabric looks like it is also unraveling around the tear. Wife isn’t sure she can fix it. My 10 year old pants from Cabelas that only cost $35.00 wouldn’t have done this.

Amazing pants, perfect for 70% of all temps and climates it seems
Some of the most comfortable, durable and well made outdoor pants you could buy, hiking or hunting. They keep me comfortable in a wide range of temps. I am someone that overheats easily but these breath, are durable and have small design features you appreciate once out on the trail. I have a 34-35" inseam and returned mine for the "tall" version but really depends on your boot height if you need that or not. The fit seems true and the large fits a 37" waist well with room for one layer of insulating layer that is not too thick. Quite in the brush, easy movement that is not restrictive.

Best merino wool pant you can find
The improvements over the first generation are great. They implemented most everything I emailed them about a few years ago. I now own several pairs and my friends are buying them after they see the difference in these and a tactical pant. There are very few merino wool pants out there and these are the best.

Quality isnt cheap.
I was trepidatious about dropping this kind of cash on hunting clothes. I can tell you without a doubt these are the most comfortable pants i own. Thinking about getting some of the non camo for general outdoors. Love the suspender setup and spacious and plentiful pockets. Ive spent a lot of time climbing trees this season, no signs of wear. They dry quick. Quality isnt cheap. Also have the klamath midweight hoody. Also love it. Also would love to have in non camo for everyday and general outdoor wear.

Light weight, comfortable and durable
These are light weight pants that are very comfortable and seem to be well built. They do shrink a bit. I would suggest ordering slightly larger size than your considering. They may seem big at first but after a few washings, you'll be happy.
