So far so good
Had this just over a week and it seems to be working very well. Instructions fairly basic but good enough to set it up without any problems. Setting the float voltage to 13v (the lowest setting) seems to keep the battery on trickle charge at a constant 12.6v when hooked up to a 10w solar panel. Would have liked to keep it a little lower say 12.4v but not sure that is possible with this controller. That said, perfectly happy with it and full marks for something that only cost £10. Can't comment on long term durability, not had it long enough.

Solar charger, just works.
This controller seems to be working perfectly. Easy to install, just make sure you connect the battery first, then the solar panels then any auxiliary device if needed.

It works but could be designed a bit better.
This is being used as part of a trickle charge set up to maintain the battery on a car that is not driven often but has power hungry electronics when the engine is off - a two channel dash cam, a tracker and, aftermarket alarm. So far it seems to be working fine. Dislikes: the enclosed instructions are poor. The basic information sheet is the type of sheet you would reference having read slightly more detailed instructions - luckily there are many online videos with the missing explanations. The voltage display is inaccurate. When it reads 11.8v my multimeter read 12.2v (this was the same with an analogue meter as well). This means having a float voltage set you could be under or possibly over the float set point. The LCD display looks a bit dim for my liking and could benefit from an optional back light or some kind of options for dim, not dim and, switch off. For the price it is not a bad product. Early days so cannot comment on longevity yet. Been less than a week connected.

Useful, but reported extravagant 10 mA quiescent current, and a poor manual
Not yet fitted, bought to control solar cell charger on a yacht, so it will be five or six months before the weather is suitable to give it an adequate test. But other reviews indicate that the voltage display is inaccurate, significantly different from the voltage as measured by a good multimeter. I have to assume that those reviews are correct. Other reviews also indicate a quiescent current of 10mA, which is very high (I would expect microamps to be achievable) - so in dull conditions it could consume more energy than the solar panel produces. Again I have to assume that those reviews are correct. I therefore intend to install it with switching to allow me to control whether it is in circuit or not; but the manual does not give me enough information to determine whether I can get away with a single DPDT switch (OK if the "ground" side is a common rail) or whether I need four switched poles (needed if fully floating). The implications for that decision are significant; I have been able to find only one 4-pole multi-throw switch with a suitable current rating, and the price of that is around £50. A much cheaper alternative is a pair of standard DPDT switches mechanically slaved together, which will entail a minor workshop job. But it would be good to be able to tell from the manual whether that is needed!

Brilliant for the money
My last one just stopped working ( a different make ) I have no idea why which I paid £20 for last year, this one has all the info on screen, shows icon when charging, I have it on a camper and as soon as I start the engine, this go'es into idle. I am seeing a big difference already and for less than half the price of the other it is a bargain. It makes me feel like getting another one just in case my home one packs up.

Works well but isn't attractive visually
Works great, I got one 6 years ago and recently thought I'd shorted it out while rewiring, so got another, turned out I'd just left my battery iso turned off. The display is easy to read and doesn't have annoying lights on the front. The only real downside seems to apply to most of this type of product, the cable in/out point are slight forward of the display, so to mount the unit with the screen visible, the wires are visible too. If the wires went in the back of the unit it would be much better.

Nice price for functional unit
Nice unit. My last one broke and I was happy that it was this unit and not my panel or battery. Easy to fit and use. Avoid direct sunlight as that's what fried my last one through campervan window.
