"If it can happen to good looking people then anyone could be incinerated in a freak gasolene fight accident" - One of hundreds of ball bouncingly funny quotes from Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller). While this film offers up a huge host of funny quotes, stars gallor and very interesting settings, the film falls very short when it comes to presenting a decent...no wait...half arsed story line for the film. The "story" centres around the young male super model Derek Zoolander, who fears that his spot as top dog in the modeling industry could be threatened by a new comer in the form of sexy surfer stud Hansel (Owen Willson). In a desperate attempt to revitalise his career Zoolander signs up to model for the modelling industry's designer de jour, Mr Mugatu (Will Farrel) the inventer of the piano tie, who secretly intends to brainwash Zoolander into assasinating the Malaysian Prime Minister, thus explaining why male models never live past the age of 30.While this story line appears to have been created by a seven year old primary school student given the assignment of writing the most stupid story he could think of, all this seems to be totally irrelavent when watching the film.After watching the film for the first time, this reviewer found that he actually fell off his chair laughing, somthing not common...believe me. "But how could it be THAT funny?" i asked myself. Simple twas the answer, unlike other commedy films created that lost some of the "ha ha" due to a real attempt at actually creating a believeable story line (e.g. American Pie), Zoolander had thrown all this out of the window, putting the story line second to the commedy, a brilliant move that had done what so many other films had attempted in the past, actually making a commedy genuinly funny throughout the performance.This film could well be somthing of a trend setter as far as commedys go. I HIGHLY recommend this film to anyone that wants to be able to go back toa film time and time again and still find it funny. Just watch it.

Enjoyed the movie, I wonder why it took me so long to get around to watching it?! Looking forward to watching Zoolander 2.
