Vivids ChromaSILK Hair Color, 3oz (Magenta)

I am a professional colorist and have used MANY different color lines. In my opinion Pravana vivids last longer, have more shine, and give more even results than the other leading brands on the market. Magenta is one of the very best shades they have in terms of vibrancy and longevity. This magenta is a very strong dark pink and has almost a neon effect. Normally I buy it through a beauty supply for much less but in a pinch this was a good option. Fast shipping and product was the real thing. *picture is of un-styled hair just to give an idea of the tone.

This is my favorite dye. It is the most vibrant magenta dye I've ever used and stays in longer than other dyes. Not only that, but it smells so good that I wish they made a perfume in the same scent. It is SOOOOOO good.

I love, love, LOVE Pravana. I've been using it for years and there is nothing else I'd use. I'm not kidding when I say every color I have tried is gorgeous, and I've even had fun mixing some.I get compliments all the time, people have even asked if I am wearing a wig because the color is so vibrant and my hair is so glossy.If you have dark hair, you will need to bleach it to achieve the vivid color. But this dye won't cause any extra damage. There's none of those harsh chemicals like there are in permanent dyes.Another thing I've noticed over the years is how beautiful these dyes fade out. The violet color in particular fades to a lovely bluish silver, in streaks so it looks like I have intentional highlights. I have people stop me to tell me how beautiful my hair is months after coloring it.Touch ups are really easy. My hair is short, so I just pop on some gloves and lazily part it in a few places, squirt some on, and rub it in like conditioner. Unlike harsh dyes, you don't have to worry about leaving this on too long. I've put it in, and then puttered around doing chores, got distracted and realized it was in my hair for hours.As long as I have colorful hair, I will keep using Pravana.

After bleaching my son's hair we used this to dye it bright magenta. We've had other great success with ChromaSilk color before and we're disappointed. Hair turned out a brilliant magenta pink. With all vivid hair dye, particularly pinks and reds, you do have to be careful about washing to maintain the color. The tube is large enough that it's enough to do it 3-4 time to touch up the pink as it fades out. Nice product. Will be buying again!

I have been using this exact brand & color for the past 16 years. I love it. I do lift to a very light level prior to application, & do leave it on for about an hour instead of 20 min, but if you are aware of how to care for vibrant hair colors, it lasts forever. I've used many different colors & mixed my own, as well. I always suggest this brand & color.
