Byung-Chul Han: A Critical Introduction (Key Contemporary Thinkers) : Knepper, Steven, Stoneman, Ethan, Wyllie, Robert: desertcart.co.uk: Books Review: One should be deeply familiar with Byung-Chul Han's work before reading this book, but after reading, say, Burnout Society, Agony of Eros, and a few other of his short works, this is a great critical discussion of his overall project. The chapters situate each of Han's major works in the context of both the thinkers he references (like Heidegger) and other thinkers who have written on technology, media, subjectivity, aesthetics and more. Review: I really enjoyed reading this book. I'm not entirely caught up on the all of the issues, and I very much appreciated the references prior to BCH that influenced his thought. I would recommend reading 3 or 4 of BCH's books before reading this. The more the better as that background knowledge will be expanded by reading this book.
