The size of the waterer and feeder are perfect for my brooder. One of my complaints with my previous ones was that they took up too much room. This is not the case with these ones. They are small enough to not be in the way but large enough to hold enough feed and water for 9 chicks for about 2 days.However the main reason I ordered this was for the raised waterer. As anyone who has brooded chicks before knows, that when using anything other than nipple waterers, you end up cleaning the water out 4+ times a day to keep it drinkable. I tried to use nipple waterers but I swear I think the chicks just had fun pecking on it to watch the water run all over the place and soak their bedding. So I thought I'd try this one with raised legs and I love it!Here's what I love about it:The legs are adjustable and can be folded completely underneath when the chicks are small so they can reach. This was helpful when I didn't need it raised for the first day or 2.The adjustable legs grow with your chicks, up to 3 different heights.I clean water WAY less than I used to. I use pine shavings so now that my chicks are bigger, they are starting to scratch and throw some up into the waterer even though it's up high. But even then, it's not nearly as dirty as it used to get and they can't poop in it.Here's What I wish We're Different:I wish the feeder has legs also. This would be super cool and I have yet to find a feeder on legs that's worth using.In all I love it and am glad I bought it!

Both feeder and waterer work well.

The handle on the waterer comes off, I have to pinch it with pliers to get it to hold on better, easy fix! There are shavings in it this morning, but typically it would be more shavings that water, and to be fair, I dumped WAY too many shavings in hahahaha... It's standing on its feet and if the shavings were lower I'd be surprised to see any shavings in it at all.The feeder ..... Eh ..They love it, mostly because they can slosh the food out everywhere, so it empties out really fast. I put a plate under it to keep it steady, but also to catch the food, so they eat off the plate, too. The feeder from the store works better in keeping the food INSIDE the feeder, but once they figured out how to get on top of it, the lid kept falling off and they'd poop inside it. Sooooooo we'll just live with the plate!It's sturdy, well made, doesn't feel cheap at all... Take the good with the bad!

This is perfect for a small flock of chickens or turkeys. Watch what size you get, but the small set will happily feed and water up to 7 young birds. I am currently using them with 4 chickens and 3 turkeys. I love the fact that the water can be raised as they grow to try and help keep being out of the water.

The orange tray to the waterer was bent/warped when I received it, causing one of the legs to fail and pop out of place. As a result it is no different than any other without legs/extensions (which I already had and didn't need another). I can only use it flat on the ground, it's not adjustable.I would have given 5 stars if product wasn't damaged when I received it. I bought the product ahead of time so by the time I tried it out and discovered the damage, the return window had closed.
