CBS Masterworks Dinner Classics: The Italian Album

Using the CD for exactly what it’s for . . . . . during Dinner! Need not be Italian dinners though for my Italian husband, but enjoyable listening music. Any CD with my favorite song Ever (O Mio Babbino Caro) is always welcome in my house! Love it❣️

Mixed-some romantic (Aida), others light and frivolous

This CD is a wonderful addition to a collection of traditional Italian music. Mixing and matching the traditional with these dinner classics makes for a perfect background for an Italian inspired meal with friends. A great soundtrack for a perfect evening with a good bottle of wine and Italian bread.

Like the number of and the quality of each track

I wanted this cd because I originally bought it on cassette when it was released in the early 90s along with the others. Lost them all when my entire music collection was stolen. I was happy to order this. It starts out swell on my DELL when I played it. Then Track 20, which happens to be my fave piece [Love Verdi operas], goes 3/4th the way until it starts skipping and just limps until it quits. I stopped it and clicked it to play the final Track 21. From the beginning it pauses & 'thinks' about playing before it does. Then it just sputtered. I gave up. I know its used/ good condition, but still disappointed. The cd's glitches won't even let me download it to my iTunes 'library. :(

There is a piece on this CD that is just beautiful. Heard it on my favorite radio station WRR.Cavalleria Rusticana.I listen to it over and over....

I had started to like some Italian opera music year's ago when I first saw Cher and Nicolas Cage in Moonstruck. This CD has the best pieces and recipes too. Give it a try as background music to your next spaghetti dinner.
