Follow the instructions on the disk, don't mix them with internet guides
I spent WAAAYYYY too much time trying to get this particular cable to work with an "easy" guide from the internet, instead of following the instructions included on the disk. Had to buy an old laptop from Amazon, as my 2 old laptops had separate issues that wouldn't allow me to install on them without further effort (and time/effort I couldn't afford at that point). After getting this running on the Amazon Laptop (Windows 10) and programming a new second key, I was still even, cost wise, at a minimum of one key programmed. I still need 2 extra keys programmed, so do the following math to figure what I saved. Dealership told me it would be $250 for one key if they could get one, $350 if they had to reflash another key, and would require all keys to be reprogrammed at that point, hence the extra cost. Another $30 each to cut the emergency key(s)After getting the second key programmed for my wife, I attacked my 2 old laptops and got them working to the point that I can dedicate these to this purpose. Installed the software on Windows 7, and XP, so this works on 3 different operating systems, and within a virtual box.Open and read the installation instructions on the included disc. After that, and before trying the installation, watch the included video (mp4) on the included disc. The written steps have one item out of order, in comparison to how it's installed per the video. I followed the order of steps using the video's guidelines, using the written steps to clarify and help me as I followed along on the video. Slow the video down if necessary during some of the faster parts. Each laptop connects easily, with no issues, when following the directions on the disc. I didn't get the cable to run even a single time, when using other software (just as virus-y and sketchy - these ALL have issues with anti-virus, so a virtual machine is the solution. If you don't know how to do this, and think this price isn't going to come with some potential drawbacks, don't even bother buying this, and spend the $1100 or more for the OEM machine/software instead. That's the trade-off, period. This was worth the hassle for me, in the long run. I was also able to use this on my old car that my wife wanted to keep driving, and change some of the personalized settings that she wanted, as well as completing a brake flush per the "by the book" guidelines, using the laptop.

HAS VIRUS
Has an actual virus. Run in a virtual machine or on a totally offline disposable computer. Probably most other products like this have viruses too, just how it is.

Works great
Cable and software works as expected; needed assistance getting the software to work and seller's tech remote controlled into my laptop and got it working quickly. I had trouble accessing a few of the car's modules (specifically TPMS on a 2014 Corolla) and read that this cable doesn't handle the protocol for all the ECMs including that one). I bought a much more expensive cable that worked on all the ECMs but, still have no complaints about this cable or the software. I'm very pleased and would recommend this product/seller to anyone who needs it. The software and support received is worth the price alone.

Works Well with TechStream
I got the Mini VCI OBD2 adapter to use with Toyota TechStream, and it did exactly what I needed. I was able to diagnose a pre-collision warning and track it down to a steering angle sensor error—likely caused by jumping a dead battery. The connection was stable, and it pulled codes without any issues. The only annoyance is that the included TechStream software requires the adapter to be plugged in just to open, which can be a bit inconvenient. But for the price, it’s a solid tool for Toyota diagnostics.

works just perfect. Successfully bleeded breaks on my Lexus LS460
If you're not a computer geek, text to the seller to ask for help. I was trying to install by myself but I couldn't for some reason. But I texted the seller and once he read my message I was helped. (dont forget about timezones, don't expect the answer right after you text them)DON'T be afraid of giving a remote access to your computer. They have access only when you turn on Teamviewer and you can see every move of the technician who helps you.By the way you can turn on your Virus Defender when you don't use techstream. After I got it installed I went to bleed the brakes after I replaced ABS module on my Lexus LS460. Everything works perfect.IT IS THE BEST OBD TOOL SCANNER FOR YOUR TOYOTA AND LEXUS FOR THE BEST PRICE! No joke. I also have ThinkDiag obd tool, which cost 3 times more and it doesn't work properly with some service features.Next I am planning to do with it is programming a new Smart key. To do it myself gonna cost me around $65 (for a key and fob), to pay someone is $150-200. There are a lot if instructions on YouTube how to do it. It will save some money for sure:)

Doesn't support 2024 Land Cruiser yet
Not all 2024 vehicles are supported yet. My 2024 Land Cruiser was NOT supported in V18.00.008. The vendor was very quick in responding to a support request but unfortunately was unable to help in the end because the Toyota software just doesn't support my vehicle yet.
