Simple, clean lines, no unnecessary gadgetry. It just does what it's supposed to and does it well for the money. It's not the thickest best screen or frame but for the money compared to others on Amazon, it lets in the fresh air, keeps out the bugs and doesn't rattle or move about when the window is pulled down onto it to hold it steady. My only suggestion would be to add a little knob or handle on one of the sides so it doesn't fall out onto the ground when you push the window back up to disengage it. Very minor but would be helpful. I like this very much and glad I bought it. Remember there is nothing but the window sandwiching it onto the sill to hold it in place so it would not be a good line if defence against a child or pet.

I bought this to close off some of the window where my Catio is (so my inside cat can go outside). It works perfectly and closes off half the window so she can still get out and less bugs can get in. I love it!!!

My sliding window already has a screen, but it is rather flimsy and the cats were likely to destroy it with their claws. Setting this up in front of the "real" screen solved that problem. The window slides side-to-side, so I have the expandable screen set up vertically and it works fine. I just slide the pane up against it to hold it in place.My window is huge, so there's a gap at the top, but in my case it doesn't matter because there's another screen behind it. If you're just looking to protect an existing screen from cat claws, this should work for you. And if you don't have a screen there at all, I think this could work to keep most bugs out -- just measure carefully so you choose the best size.

Easiest screen product I've tried. My window goes left to right. I was leary of it staying in the up down position. It firmly stays in place. I want another one.

This does just what you need it to do. My only complaint is that it doesn’t stay adjusted to the size of the window, so every time you put this screen in you do need to readjust it to fit, though that is easy to do. I do recommend this product.

Able to screen a area on a temporary basis. Permanent would reduce light. Perfect. Just what I wanted. Would like 45” /46” width if you have that size. \
