Ten Seeds

This book is a must. I taught my daughter how to count using seeds, 11 years ago, and now I’m back with my newest little seed, going again. I absolutely adore this book for the art , the concepts, give and take, food production, the eco system and all of life’s wonderful tapestry. Plus the math and the natural order of things. So very happy with this book. Thank you

Beautiful illustrations and simple story of how a seed grows. Easy to understand for little ones. And to top it off, number practice. A hit!

Such a wonderful story. Brilliant in every way. Teaching without them knowing: plant growth, numbers, nature and animals. My kids love this book as much as I do!

This book is perfect for young children as it helps teaching the numbers up to 10 and at the same time explains how seeds grow. Unfortunately I bought it too late, my 3 years and half daughter did not find this book interesting. I wish i had it when she was 2, I am sure she would have enjoyed it more.

This book is beautiful. The illustrations are realistic and provoke so much discussion. I used it today with my Nursery class. It will be a firm favourite. Lovely to illustrate the life cycle of growth and decay

What a lovely book! It teaches so much in such a straightforward way... The life cycle of a plant, the stages the growing plant goes through, the different little critters that damage or eat the seeds at each stage of its growth, even counting up to and down from ten. Beautiful illustrations. I will be using it with my Reception/Year one class as part of our plants topic.

We have several books about seeds and growing but this is a favourite. There are lots of details in the illustrations so although a simple counting storyline, there is a lot more to discuss when reading it. I like the realistic drawings of the animals and plants
