From the picture it looks like you pay for the WHOLE stand. What I received was only a metal platter to be mounted on top of an existing stand. This is a complete SCAM!

It is not often these days when you pick up the package off your doorstep that your instant response is, " Wow. This feels really substantial....... like the 'old days' of getting products." The package had heft to it. It FELT solid. It was actually made of METAL! Not flimsy thin junky metal. Opening the package did not disappoint. In fact, the quality of the build and the finishing all spoke to craftsmanship and solid design. This is high-quality work. It'd probably hold up an elephant. (I'm speaking here as a lifelong professional craftsman, with work in museums across the globe from my home country.) Assembly required no directions.....and there were none. Totally intuitive. And everything worked as intended. It probably took a solid minute and a half to set up, if that. I adjusted the width to the size of the unit I wanted to mount on it (A TC Icon Series Docking Bay), and it worked perfectly first time. You can't really SEE this unit in the picture. Look for the two tiny tabs at the bottom between the fader desk unit and the TC unit. But that is the nature of this kind of product. It is the "unsung hero" behind the scenes making everything work. The TC unit now sits solidly at the perfect angle to work on the mixing desk. It replaces a jury-rigged 2x4 arrangement that was never stable and I was always fiddling with. I expect that all of these stands are also first rate. VERY happy with the purchase.
