Star Wars Black Series Helmet Action Figure

I'm no SW ComiCon Uber geek - rather a somewhat lay fan who has enjoyed the original movies since 1977.By far, this is the most movie-accurate helmet/mask I've seen at what is a very approachable price point. Dimensions are accurate, proportions are accurate, and it just commands attention. I took the advice of several others around here and use it as a replacement for the mask to the Rubies Supreme costume, and I'm glad I did. When you put the two masks side by side, the choice is obvious.Indeed, with most any costume the mask tends to set the tone. While I may have some minor issues with the Rubies costume, this mask detracts from all of them. It's that good.One bit of a nit here - the button to activate the breathing effects is built into the mask. While useful if this is a display piece, when worn it's somewhat inconvenient. I keep batteries in this when I unmask so I can take advantage of the sound effects, but that's really it.A few notes on wear. It's adjustable but that applies to the mask itself, and only so far. The interior dimensions are fixed. There is enough space in there along with a open grille to allow for good breathing, however the lenses sometimes get fogged up. Easy way to fix that...get the anti-fog solution that scuba divers use and apply it to the inside of the lenses.When it's all put together and being worn, the lenses end up being opaque from the outside...so the illusion isn't ruined. The breathing grille is similarly darkened out, so the effect is very much movie-accurate. Clearly the designers spent time on these details.It's a fantastic mask/helmet/whatever. Having the collar assembly adds to the realism of the mask and makes it work very well with the Rubies costume. Very good product,.

I saw this item pop up on things to purchase. I have almost the entire black series starwars collections so why not add it to my collection.The product price was $100, which is a bit pricey but the quality is excellent. This is my first and only Darth Vader helmet. The design is fabulous and the details are amazing. The helmet itself is NOT very heavy, though I don't recommend for a 6 year old.When trying to fit the helmet at first, I was a bit concern as it was a bit odd fitting it on my head. however, I was so amazed as it fit my "BIG" head. My head is also shaped weird as in I have a wide head. AP diameter is not that wide. For bicycle, I wear a Large Bell helmet, and motorcycle, I also wore a M to L Bell helmet. However, this item fit me just perfectly. I know other people have talked about the neck size. I don't have an issue. Thought, I wear a 15 inch collar shirt.It does get a bit hot if you're trying to make the darth vader breathing sound in 80 degree weather. It takes 2 AAA battery which is tucked away on the side. It does come with a button that makes the breathing sound of Vader. I was hoping that it could have made more than just one soundtrack. Maybe it should also say "Luke, I am your father".Overall, i am very pleased with the item. I even uploaded some pictures, and I rarely do that because it takes so much more time. Right now, I just have it on display. It does come with a stand to support the back. This is not a helmet to go paintballing with or riding a motorcycle. Though it would look very cool during haloween. In the last picture, I paired it with my ultrasaber custom sith saber. I'm sure it would look fabulous in costume and dark. I am very happy with the $100 spent on this product.

Got it more for display than for a costume piece. But I had to put it on once, of course. Inner straps loosened easily enough - much like those as a hockey helmet does, moreso than hardhats I've had. I have a large noggin (I forget the measurements, but it comes to XXL with most ball cap manufacturers), and a couple small adjustments was all it took to make for a decent fit. The magnets that snap the pieces together are numerous and quite powerful, once you've got the straps positioned correctly.As stated already, it's rather warm, and the field of vision is surprisingly wide. It's not hard to imagine a humid day fogging up the lenses quickly. The mechanical breathing sound effect is a short duration but is also quite loud inside of the mask, making it difficult to hear others whom are speaking to you during that time. Again, to reiterate what others have said, the supply of sound effects includes are the breathing, the compression/decompression "whoosh" when the mask is detached/reattached from the collar piece, and the rasping when the collar is separated. There is no voice modulation; but there seems to be reasonable room inside to be able to rig one up yourself.It gets high marks from me because it is a show-stealing display piece, and I believe worth the money for just that alone. I love it.

AWESOME helmet!!! For being a "toy" this helmet is highly detailed and to date is the BEST of all the black series helmets released!!! However, if you are a fan looking for a "screen accurate" helmet this product is NOT for you!!! It is first and foremost a toy, and secondly it is a good display piece and a fun helmet for the kids to play with and reenacting Darth Vader scenes from the movies climax in both Revenge of the Sith and Return of the Jedi. Now, if you are a Star Wars fan and would like a cool display piece of the "Vader Reveal" helmet and don't care about screen accuracy then this is a great product for you to buy and to add to your collection. Also it makes a fun project piece to repaint and make it look more screen accurate at a cheap affordable price and some of the finished projects I've seen have turned out AMAZING and the helmets look like it literally just came out of the movie!!! Overall this is an awesome fun helmet to have in any Star Wars collection!!!

The helmet is amazing. It snaps together magnetically to hold really well and the one thing that truly surprised me was how well I could see out of it! No terrible blurry vision or super dark tint to everything! If I had one (very slight) disappointment, it is that the speaker quality isn't fantastic when you want to make the breathing sound effect. There isn't much intensity to it, however for $100 this thing is well worth it. When the mask part is off and you hit the button it even can sense it and goes to the labored breathing sound effect which I think is really cool! This is a cosplay level helmet for a really fair price and works as a table decoration or if you just want to hang around and look like Darth Vader.

Awesome Darth Vader Helmet. I love how its three peices that you assemble together to put it on. The sound of the mask being pressurized when you clip the neck and head peice together is fantastic. The sound of Vader breathing is great and is pretty loud. Also plenty of room in the nose of mask to add a voice changer if your planning on using it for cosplay. Overall great buy, very pleased.

The helmet was nice and very well detailed. To be honest, it would be more of a $200 type of thing with the detail though. So for this Review, I will take 3 sections and score have a score of 10 or 5 on each section.Detail: 10/10The detail on this helmet was amazing. The collar was the most out of the other 2 pieces. The Face-Plate was Fairly detailed and looked movie accurate. The Head Piece, however had no detail. But, who would have the time just to look at something that has no meaning to it anyways?Sound and Effects: 9/10The helmet also comes with Sounds, but only breathing or just "whoosh~" sounds to it. The helmet makes the infamous breathing sound and injured breathing when it's just the collar piece all by itself. The voice changer does not matter as you could simply just not talk, seeming Vader would do that a lot. The only problem there is is that it could have used the sound when you put the Head-Piece on and in made that "wish~" sound from Revenge of The Sith.Removable and Wearable: 5/5When you want to wear the helmet, you can't just throw it on like A cheap Halloween mask from Target. Instead, you have to take the thing piece by piece. Not saying that bad or anything, but it's very simple. To put it on, it goes "Collar-Face Plate-Head Piece." And to take off, "Head Piece-Face Plate-Collar." Now, there is a easier way to take it off when it comes to the Collar and Face Plate. Instead of just trying to pry the Face Plate off, hurting your head while doing so. You could just simply take the collar off and leave the face plate on, Then take the Face Plate off.Overall Review: 10.5/10The helmet is as close as you could get as a screen accurate Christmas/Birthday Gift. The price on this is Fair, but the price could have been $20 more with the Voice-Changer (Which most of them don't even sound that accurate to James E. Jones.) The "Collectable" is a Must-Buy if you are in need for something that looks like you just stole off a LucasFilms movie set, though I don't know why you'd do that. As Vader would Say, "Impressive...Most Impressive."

ok i have had a couple of these helmets but this one is prolly the best one so far. detail is great and the size is actually quite good as well. kinda looks a bit big but it really isnt. if you can get it cheap then go for it but like anything else from hasbro i wouldn't pay much more than 100 for it. if you go up any more than that it would be best to get a pro made movie/screen accurate helmet. this is essentially a toy though this is the closest hasbro has gotten to those upper level kits.May 2022 Edit: Just got another one of these for a nephew because it dropped to under $100. also recently found out that Hasbro will be re-releasing this helmet fairly soon so i strongly suggest waiting for the new one OR see if this ones price drops again. the "new" re-release will have a different paint job and the eyes will have a more red tent.

Es el mejor caso en el que pude invertir esta super bonito, se escucha muy bien el efecto de sonido.Actualmente es una pieza de colección pero sin duda lo usaría para alguna fiesta tematica o un evento de disfraces.

Acho que é o melhor capacete da Black Series, bem detalhado, um pouco difícil de montar no início por causa da peça do pescoço, mas dá pra pegar o jeito.
