The only BEST low voltage Landscape lighting connectors.
These babies are nylon not plastic and last a long time. Fourth time I have bought some. Works on new and old landscape lighting two strand wire (repair ALWAYS includes old wire) and the probe is sharp!! Most recent I had a transformer with three separate lines all attached at the 2 pin main connect on the transformer. Not very well designed on my part. Took 2 of the 3 connection down and instead used the third one which is a thick 12 gauge wire, used it as the main line and pinned the two smaller 14 gauge wires to the larger one with the connectors. Lights are brighter, better connection, and pretty neat installation. These are the ONLY nylon connectors I know of, others are black plastic. They are kind of expensive, but the yellow is easy to find in the dirt if one gets knocked loose by vigorous gardening.

The Best Low Voltage Connector
I have a pot full low voltage landscape lights in both my front & back yards spot, pathway etc. & this is the best connector yet. Easy to use & works every time without a bunch of fussing. A little pricey but get what you pay for & it this case it's worth it. This a review of my second purchase of these connectors & there will be a 3rd purchase. The photo shows the connector being used on 8 year old wiring & it worked without a hitch.

Very Good but expensive
Overall these connectors are very good and save lots of time. I installed these connectors on 12 gauge main line and 14 gauge wire going into the fixture, 250 feet run, 20 lights, 300w transformer all from Volt lighting. The 12 gauge wire had to be crimped using a pair of needle nose pliers to get the wire into the connector but took less than 2 minuets to install a set. The connectors locked in tight and secured the wires extremely well. As for the end that goes to the fixture, it doesn't seem to be 100% water proof. So what I did was inject some silicon into that end to provide additional water protection. The process was easy and all the lights turned on the first time with no adjustments needed. I took one star for the price. As I said these connectors are very well made and saves a lot of time, but the costs seems over inflated even for the great quality. I have looked many places and these are the only ones of this design so they might have the market thus enabling them to inflate the price.

Very good although not cheap problem solver
I love everything about these but the price. Frankly the best connectors Iโve use for low-voltage lighting and easy, sturdy and A great connection so you never have to worry about blinking lights. The price however leaves me a little bit disenchanted as thereโs no reason he should cost as much as they do, that being said I havenโt found anything better so I ponied up and paid the price a few times and Iโve never regretted it A great connection so you never have to worry about blinking lights. Small Wonder.
If you look carefully at "ALL" the images of this product you can get a sense of how small they are and I did look carefully. Nevertheless, I was still stunned at how diminutive they are. The whole package fit in the palm of my hand. The star of the show in this tiny product is the ROUND pin that contacts the supply wires. Yes it's a round post trimmed to a point that penetrates the supply wires not a flat tab that is bound to bend under the pressure of trying to get into a supply wire that has some underground history. There is strip of paper that comes with the connectors that has some instructions and some advice on somehow warming the supply wires to make that terminal penetration easier. I usually employ a hair dryer to warm the wires because I'm too cheap to buy a real heat gun (Shhhh, don't tell my boss...aka wife). I'm on my third domicile with low voltage lighting and in those experiences have learned an important lesson about the maintenance. The enemy of these lighting systems is corrosion. I don't care what kind of connectors, fittings or wires you buy, they are all susceptible to it. Moisture from the climate or an irrigation system is on the top of the list. My advice is, if you are going to buy these connectors and I do recommend them, also purchase a tube of dielectric grease. I use the Permatex Tune Up version but I'm pretty sure they are mostly all the same. Place a dab on the aforementioned post pin and one on the terminal where the lamp wire goes before you screw it all together. I use it everywhere including at the Transformer/Timer connections, at the power plug and on all my exterior outlets. It really is a life changer. If I had to add a negative note about this product it would be the size of the twist nuts. If you're trying to get it on to an old dried up supply line, even if you did warm the wire insulation up, you'll need to bring a pliers or two because it's not going to happen with your fingertips especially if you're arthritic like me. Not a deal breaker though. I still think this product is a great solution and I highly recommend it. Enjoy.

Great connection system for spiking in low volt yard light but price is too high for 3 pair
I bought some LED yard lights on Amazon recently as the price was quite a bit lower than local Lowes or Home Depot lights. But these inexpensive lights come with just bare wire connections, so you have to wire in to your system with the "strip, twist connector and tape" method which sometimes does not work well and is questionable in the long run exposed to the elements. Also if you have a think insulated main low volt circuit line, it is a pain to cut into it. The "spike in" connectors work much better. So I saw these and thought these were great spike in options that looked easy to use, tight and would last. My conclusion was spot on and they work great! The only reason I am giving three stars is the price/quantity ratio. To be honest I just read information, liked the systems and looked at the picture but at a glance the picture says to me "you get 6 pairs" (which for $18 bucks or so seemed high but reasonable for such a convenient connection system). When they arrived, there 6 connectors, that is only 3 pairs covering 3 lights. Shame on me for not reading the fine print, but had I realized it was just 3 pairs not 6 pairs, I would have not bought them at that price. So wanted to make sure readers of this know you only get 3 lights worth of connections for the price. But I would like to emphasize that the system is great, easy and effective. But hard to justify $18 for them but if you don't want to muck about with trying to twist connect and tape lights into your main low volt lighting line, this is a great solution if you are OK with the price.

A great way to easily add lights to your low voltage outdoor LED lighting
I donโt know if this is my very first review on Amazon, but if Iโve done one before I donโt remember it. Itโs pretty rare that I take the time unless a product really impresses me. This one does. Look, if youโve got a crimping tool and the tool to strip the plastic sheath to expose wires (without just cutting), then itโs probably unnecessary. But if you donโt muck around with those things often and youโve got some low voltage LEDs outside, this makes adding additional lights up to your transformer limit EASY. I love the simplicity and the apparent sturdiness, though Iโve only had it for a day so canโt rate it against years of winters. But it was quick and from what I can tell is going to offer a problem free connection for a long, long time. Great product!

Really works, especially with old wire
The external insulation on landscaping electrical wire gets very hard when it is old and has been buried for a long time. The connectors that come with the lights are very difficult to connect to old, hard wire because the piercing point won't go into the wire to reach the copper inside. Therefore, I bought these connectors. The mechanical advantage offered by the screw is both much stronger, so it pierces the wire, but is also much easier to connect in the first place. These connectors were easy to use and worked first time, with a decades old wire. I'm happy with the purchase and will use these going forward.

Worked Well
This product was easy to use and worked as advertised. Perhaps a little bit on the expensive side

Very Handy Connecting Lights
A little tricky to use because you have to push the light wire in deep and at the same time turn the top to tighten it. Once done, it holds well.

Efficient!
These may be the best connectors available for landscape lighting. Easy to use and they give a solid, tight connection. They are quite costly, but if they last year after year without a fault, unlike the other types, they may be worth it. No cutting or stripping of wires required.
