It's been great for protecting Samsung Galaxy A55 from accidental falls despite its sleek design. It feels durable, but flexible enough to make it an easy fit for my device. You simply just place your phone inside, and peel it off to take it off, making it easy to install and remove. It's biggest benefit is it's compatibility with the Backbone gamepad, meaning that I don't have to remove the case to make it fit for the backbone. I recommend if you want a great case that you can use whilst playing on a backbone.

I like OtterBox cases, and this one does the job nicely. They always feel a bit bulkier than other cases, but that just gives me some assurance that they can survive much more of an impact, which is great if you think there's a risk of droppage!The case itself feels premium. It's nice and grippy, and the pattern is lovely, while still keeping a clear case to show off the phone. Price is reasonable, although a bit high. Recommended if you don't mind a slightly bulkier case that should offer better drop protection.

Like other OtterBox cases, it's tough and can stand up to a lot of punishment. All positive so far.Now to the negative points. The big one is that the case doesn't come with a screen protector. As a result, even when this case is fitted to your Samsung, the phone's most fragile part - the screen - remains wide open to damage. The slightly raised lip of the case acts as a buffer to the screen if the phone is dropped on a perfectly flat surface such as a desk or a wooden floor, but any object that actually strikes the screen can easily damage it. You can buy glass screen protectors separately, but when you're paying over the odds for a protective case (such as this OtterBox one), a screen protector should really be included. Instead, though, OtterBox promotes its screen protectors as "extras" which, when coupled with an OtterBox case, can deliver "360-degree protection". That's like a car salesman selling you a car at an inflated price and then saying, "It doesn't come with a windscreen, but if you want full 360-degree protection for yourself, I'll be happy to sell you a windscreen separately!" That is a good analogy for the OtterBox attitude to phone cases. And that - along with the poor value for money - is why this product gets three stars rather than five. The current reduced price of £17.07 (down from the RRP of £20.99) would be a little too expensive to be good value even if the case came with a screen protector, but to charge that amount for just a basic case is greedy, especially when the case comes in non-retail packaging, meaning the manufacturer can't justify the inflated price by claiming that the packaging was expensive - the "packaging" is a thin polythene bag that would cost less than a penny to manufacture. Many other manufacturers produce equally robust cases that come with screen protectors, all for less than the price of this OtterBox case. If the OtterBox brand is to survive, I think the company will have to adapt to that reality by reducing the cost of their cases and/or including screen protectors as standard.

For that reason I'm docking a star for less than brilliant value. But the case will protect your phone from most knocks and drops.

Benutze seit Jahren bei allen Handys nur noch OtterBox Hüllen. Der Preis ist gerade bei der Langlebigkeit gerechtfertigt. Andere billig Hüllen müssen schon nach kurzer Zeit ausgetauscht werden weil sie schlackern oder kaputt sind.
