Arrived over wound but with a bit of study managed to release the wire which was fiddly but doable.Important to fully read the instructions or suspect many would never be able to release the tension once used.I have already used it in combination with a similar rated tow rope and binder chain to drag a collapsed wire fence and posts back up a steep embankment.Although rated well beyond what needed I was concerned about anything snapping so used a snatch block which enabled me to stand off to the side whit used the winch.I fixed some orange ribbon round the cable so didn’t over fill the spool which I suspect is the big mistake to be made thinking more to go.Good value for money well made and solid if a little heavy out of need given the 5 ton rating. Remember safety first and only combine with straps / chains / Shackles rated to suit the task.

Works great so far, does all i need working in a woodland hauling trees of various sizes, the instructions are bare bones but sufficient, once you've used it a few times you see how it responds best to getting the cable out to length and also releasing the winch under load. Certainly feels and looks robustly built so hopefully will last a good while, great price also.

First-Class manual winch. Without it, I would not have succeeded in winching a mature, heavy storm-felled conifer tree out of a deep pond single-handedly by myself. The Vevor 5 tonne winch is straightforward to use and the pulling strength is incredible. Try it out before using it for the task you intend so you're knowledgable of operating, especially releasing the strain and tension while using it. Strongly recommended. Very pleased.

well made and free running - pawl clips work well. Yet to use but looks good quality

It's really well made, all cogs and cable are heavy duty. I already own a less impressive one ton model bought from a major hardware store for £60. This one is a Five ton specimen and cost me only £39, makes the one ton look like a toy!

The winch worked really well at pulling the load in however it is dismally bad when pulling outWe were unable to unspool the cable unless we bounced the ratchet and gained a small let out under load, the rest of the time we unbolted the spool and fed the cable out before reassemblingIf we hadn’t had the unspooling issue it would be five star, it worked really well and felt solid but currently it only does 50% of its job well

This puller is another solid tool from Vevor. I grabbed it to pull small trees out in the back where space for the truck is limited. Whereas it's back breaking work by the nature of it, this tool is getting the job done, crank by crank.The compound pulley definitely provides some noticeable leverage, and the overall construction is beefy, simple, and thick. The cable could be a bit longer, I suppose, but that comes at the expense of bulk and weight, so I'm happy with how it's designed. The handle is a solid length, and plenty long enough to feel as though I'm maxing out my own potential within safe limits. The cable is flexible-enough to manipulate as well, and the locking mechanisms hold everything tightly in place under tension. I've had a slight issue with the release mechanism being a bit flimsy, but - once I get into a groove - everything seems to operate as intended.When everything is done, it stores cleanly on a big old nail in the shop. Nice and easy.For the price, build quality, and versatility, this is a solid tool.

Bon matériel, bien costaud (pour des costauds) utiliser pour déssoucher un arbre planté il e a plus de 20 ans et qui n’a pas résisté au froid hivernal et maintenant c’est la canicule en juin…. Certains disent qu’il n’y a pas de changement climatique ?Il n’a pas résisté non plus au Tire Fort !

Muy contento, lo he usado un par de veces para levantar un barril de unos 250 kg con un resultado optimo. Se ve robusto y cumple sobradamente con su cometido. Sus 3 ganchos son de mucha utilidad si hay poco espacio. Lo recomiendo 100x100

Ottimo prodotto super consigliato in quanto ho tirato fuori un camper da 3.5 tonnellate che praticamente era bloccato da un mese per via della ruota e inizio a semiasse impantanato perciò super consigliato il cric non ha fatto nessuno sforzo l'unica cosa che mi preoccupava poteva essere al limite la corda non è lunghissimo il cavo sono circa due metri ma a volte quei due metri sono sufficienti per levarti il problema non ho controllato bene da letto due metri però è a oppio perciò scelta azzeccata presso direi ok e oltretutto il venditore me l'ha fatta arrivare molto prima del previsto in quanto mi è arrivato più o meno il 21- 22 di giugno mentre era previsto per il primo di luglio in tre giorni è arrivato perciò se cercate qualcosa del genere sì ve lo consiglio a piene mani
