I have been using Underberg for many years. It is very good for settling your stomach when you have eaten too much of a rich meal It was introduced to my first husband by a waiter in a restaurant in Germany in 1958!

I thought bitters were meant to be, well, bitter (and kind of unpleasant), but I would describe this as more spicy than bitter. It’s really tasty! Most dominant flavour is anise/licorice/fennel, so probably avoid if you don’t like that.

Fine if you like the taste of cloves - subtly blended with the flavour of cloves & finished of with the taste of - wfi - CLOVES !This is an extremely unsophisticated & unpleasant item to consume.One sip from one serving & the rest went in the bin or down the drain !

Like someone else has mentioned, always have some in stock for those odd big meals that just will not digest for hours. One slurp of this...well, interesting, if I am being nice... liquid and everything starts to move. No more uncomfortable feeling, everything moves down!

was recommended this by a ‘friend’ to help with digestive issues… anyone that would advise you to drink this awful tasting stuff is no friend! .. it didn’t seem to do much for me regardless ..
