Perfect for Desk Organization
I picked up this ORICO USB hub because I was tired of reaching around the back of my PC every time I needed to plug in a flash drive or my external SSD. The clamp design is brilliant – it mounted securely to the edge of my desk in seconds, and it looks clean and professional. The build quality is solid too – metal, not cheap plastic, which was a nice surprise at this price point. The USB ports work great for data transfer. I’ve used all three USB-A ports and the USB-C port with no issues moving files from external drives and connecting peripherals like my webcam and mouse dongle. Speeds seem solid and consistent. My only real gripe is that it doesn’t really charge devices effectively. I tried plugging in my phone and wireless earbuds, and they either charged very slowly or not at all unless I added a separate power source. It’s fine for accessories, but if you’re hoping to use this as a charging station too, you’ll be disappointed unless you provide extra power. That said, for decluttering your desk and making your USB ports more accessible, this is a great little device. Just know what you’re getting – it’s a USB hub for data, not a charging dock.

Nice build quality, reliable and easy to use.
It attaches on my monitor very well and everything works flawlessly. I put two mouse dongles in it and sometimes I plug my usb driver in it as well, all work without any issues.

Good Hub, Shallow Clamp
I bought this specifically for two features: the desk clamp and the SD/TF card reader. Both work well, but the clamp has a limitation worth knowing about. THE CLAMP The clamping area is only about 1/2 inch deep. My desk has a rounded edge, so I lose about half of that to the curve. As a result, if I'm not careful when plugging something in, the hub can come loose. If your desk has a flat, square edge, you'll probably be fine. If it's rounded, be aware you might have the same issue. THE CARD READER Works great. One quirk: the micro SD slot requires the card to be inserted upside down. Not a big deal once you know, but it's unintuitive. BOTTOM LINE I really like this hub and I'm not sorry I bought it. Just consider what you're clamping it to ahead of time.

Just ordered 3 more!
Very impressed! I have my workstations mounted under my desks to minimize clutter (Hey, I don't want to see my hardware, I just want it to work! :-) - and I hate having to crawl about under my desk in low light, when the need arises to use an USB drive. Also I don't much like desktop clutter, so did not want anything sitting atop my desk, so when I cam across this, I thought I give it a shot... In a word: Love it!!! These are small, and *unobtrusive* and fit neatly under a desktop on the horizontal front 'valance'. (See attached photos) The unit itself is machined Aluminum, and the clamp screw/pad holds tightly. So solidly built! It has 3 USB-A and 1 USB-C along the front face, as well as a 5Gi USB-C on the back for computer connection. There is another USB-C port on the rear for whatever? The USB ports are snug - might have to push a little to seat - but this is a good thing. ( Waaayyyy better than loose, 'sloppy' ports) Very much worth the price. As info I have the MH4PC, but they also come with SD card readers, Audio jacks et a few other configuartions Oh, and apparently, they also come in white!

Compact hub clamps to desk or monitor
Great if you need a couple of usb ports close on your desk or under monitor. I have two of these units now. These have a input port for additional power in case your device pulls more than the usb bus can provide (something like 500 mA). I do not use these for charging, mostly keyboards and mouse when used in wired mode. I have a wired ten key that I use with one game that's just in the way when not being used. Using this I don't have to dig around the back of the machine for an open port. I've had my first one for several years no issues. If you want to add extra power it uses a usb c plug and you can buy small ones for around ten dollars on ebay. The unit has a usb c data plug on it unlike my old one, without the extra power supply there will likely be limits to which devices work on it since usb c is a different creature from standard usb.

Gotta have USB hub
I wish I had found this sooner. This hub provides quick, easy, and convenient connections for USB and USB-C. 20 second install on the bottom of a monitor.

Problems with feeding and recognizing nightclubs
I bought this ORICO USB 3.0 hub expecting to use it with my 1TB mechanical hard drives since the description said it is compatible and works well with external power. However, it does not recognize any of my drives even when I connect the recommended power supply. Also, the USB-C port has a serious issue: if it recognizes any drive, the connection is quickly lost and the device is no longer detected until everything is disconnected and restarted. I tested several drives and configurations, and I confirmed that the drives work perfectly when connected directly to the computer. I am disappointed that a product with these specifications does not fulfill its function, especially being essential equipment for managing my devices. I hope ORICO or the seller can provide a solution or improve the product soon.

Speciaal gekocht om o.a. mijn bose speaker op te laden. Maar helaas 'kapt' hij het vermogen af zodat de speaker niet oplaadt.

Clamps nice and discreetly along the edge of the desk, perfect to put between my desk and the wall to power a few peripherals like keyboard/mouse dongle and my headset charger. The included 1m cord was just the right length to reach my PC's rear ports.
