Blue Marmalade Bloom Pendant Light Shade

I have mixed feelings about this lampshade which is now hanging in my bedroom. The idea is great, and the images here probably give an accurate idea of what the final thing looks like. My problem is that I thought that seeing the thing live would be a little less of a confusing messy experience. Five petals means that you have five beautiful large areas (top) that catch the light, but you must consider that the product picture above really shows this lamp shade's BEST angle where you get to see three 'pettles' at once.(I was so impressed with the idea that I was in total denial of all the bits sticking out etc...) From any other angle, you see only two pettles, and there just isn't the repetition of form necessary to make this a pleasingly symmetrical/ repetitive pattern. I'll be keeping it because it's very different from anything else out there, and my wife loves it. With reagrds to putting it together, I could have done with some clearer instuctions , the hand drawn illustrations don't give you a good enough idea of what direction to fold in. It didn't take too long to work it out though, and the material is robst enough not to have suffered from a bit of trial and error. 15 minutes to put together tops including mistake time. My power-saving twisty lightbulb protrudes a bit out of the hole in the bottom but that's only a problem when you're looking straight up at it from below (eg. lying in bed). I would say a good idea for a living room or a hallway.

The product arrived in good time with no damage. when i looked at the instructions i could see why people had had problems building this fitting. it is easy to fold the individual parts the wrong way, so i would advise you start with figure 2. overall I am very pleased with this shade, i'm not sure why a previous review said you can only see two of the arches and the photo showed its best angle? not true! from most angles you can see four of its arches, what does that matter anyway it looks great! I have had many compliments on how different and original it looks.

looks different from the photo above.. the round middle part is MUCH smaller than the photo shown. also... material is recycleable, however looks so cheap which you can get this for free on supermarket.. anyway, disapointed very much., look like just cheap plastic board.

But expensive

Now that I've found someone to put it together for me, I am delighted with this item - from recyclable materials, design, colour, effect, unusual etc. - have to give it 5 stars. The instructions and illustrations, however, are awful!! One star for the paper and ink. Sadly the hook and ring are missing from my pack. Any ideas what I could use instead?

We found this easy peasy to put together, you simply curl each of the petals, then join them altogether. Very easy to take down and clean because it simply hooks onto the wire above the bulb. We have it in our summer house and like it a lot :) It came flat packed in cardboard and arrived very soon after we ordered it.

Very easy to install- a good large size. Wow factor

This looks fantastic up. The instructions were adequate and once you have made one bloom, it is very easy. I found the hardest thing was actually putting it up. Other than that I will be buying another one for the second part of the room.
