Great option for an RV bed lift.
Our fresh water tank and pump is underneath the bed of our camper along with some extra storage space. To gain access to this area, there is a hinged lid beneath the mattress that is held up by two gas struts. Those struts worked fine with the stock mattress, which SUCKED, so we replaced it immediately with a nicer (heavier) model. That extra storage space is where my wife wanted to keep the extra sheets, towels, etc so it needed to be easily accessed. The new mattress was too heavy for the gas struts, and a powered solution seemed in order, not to mention I've always wanted an excuse to use linear actuators. I bought these to replace the gas struts and installed them. They are controlled via the included momentary toggle switch at the foot of the bed. They work great, but most importantly the wife loves it.

Just what I needed
This actuator works as it should. No issues.

Up and down we go.
Purchased 2 of them to lift a pretty heavy trunk lid on a 1936 Plymouth coupe. One of them was actually doing the job. But decided to put one on each side to make it easier to lift. So far they work great together. They do squeal a bit and are kind of slow but so far so good. Will add another review in 6 months or so and let everyone know how there holding up.

Works as advertised. I adapted it to open and close the gate on a pull behind spreader so I could operate it from inside a cab tractor.

Missing parts multiple times
I ordered a replacement set of actuators because it was missing the 12 V switch as advertised. The replacement activators came also missing the 12 V switch. These actuators are also very loud compared to others I’ve used.

These linear actuators work well and suited my project nicely. They are a bit noisy and slow however.
