My plan is to review the transcriptions afterward, organizing my thoughts into actionable strategies. I believe this will help me maintain a creative flow and ensure that no idea gets lost along the way. Content Creation and Editing: I’m looking forward to dictating more of my copy using the CLAUD recorder. Whether it’s outlining a blog post or drafting a property listing, I anticipate that speaking my thoughts will speed up the process. I’m eager to see how the transcriptions will help me create more vivid and accurate property listings, and I’m sure this will be a valuable resource for brochures, social media, and virtual tours. Client Follow-Ups and Proposals: After client meetings, my intention is to record my thoughts on next steps and use the transcriptions to draft detailed follow-up emails or proposals. I’m looking forward to how this will streamline my follow-up process, making it more efficient and thorough. Training and Development: I’m committed to ongoing professional development, and I plan to use the CLAUD recorder to capture training sessions and webinars. I’m confident that the transcriptions will serve as a valuable reference, helping me to continuously improve my skills. My Little Buddy Who Never Misses a Word
I’ve got to say, the PLAUD AI Voice Recorder has been a total game-changer. Seriously, it’s like having a personal assistant in my pocket—but one that doesn’t need coffee breaks or roll its eyes at me. It’s replaced note-taking entirely in my meetings, and I can actually focus on what’s being said instead of scribbling like a madman. Let’s Talk About the Monthly Cost Debate I don’t get all the complaints about the monthly cost. Like, come on, people—this isn’t Plaud being greedy. The subscription fee is tied to using OpenAI’s and Anthropic’s APIs, which isn’t free for anyone. It’s the cost of doing business in the AI world, and honestly, for what this recorder can do, it’s worth it. You’re not paying Plaud to sit on a yacht somewhere; you’re paying to keep their tech talking to the AI brains that make this thing awesome. Functionality: My Meeting MVP This little guy has become my meeting MVP. I don’t even bother taking notes anymore—I just let my trusty PLAUD handle it all. It listens, transcribes, and even summarizes, so I don’t have to. The best part? It’s accurate. No more second-guessing what I thought I heard someone say three slides ago. I get home with a full transcription and a summary that’s usually better organized than my own brain. Portability and Design It’s compact, it comes with a nice little case, and it’s so easy to carry around that I forget it’s even there until I need it. It feels like having a superpower—“Oh, you said that? Don’t worry, I’ve got the receipts.” It’s also easy to control through the app, which is intuitive and smooth. Overall Quality The transcription quality is top-notch, and it handles even fast talkers and mumblers pretty well. (Looking at you, Dave from accounting.) Plus, the app integration is seamless, and the ability to summarize long recordings is such a huge time-saver. Final Thoughts If you’re on the fence because of the subscription fee, let me ask you this: Is your time worth it? For me, the answer is yes. This recorder has saved me hours of manual note-taking and post-meeting confusion. So stop blaming Plaud for what’s essentially the price of using cutting-edge AI tech, and enjoy your new best friend. You won’t regret it—unless you say something you don’t want transcribed.

Great Buy!
The Plaud Note is a sleek and intriguing device that aims to revolutionize voice recording by integrating advanced AI capabilities. It promises effortless transcription, insightful summarization, and seamless organization of your audio notes. But does it live up to the hype? Here's my take after putting it through its paces: The Good: Where the Plaud Note Shines Exceptional Recording Quality: The Plaud Note captures clear, crisp audio, even in moderately noisy environments. Its noise reduction algorithms do a commendable job of minimizing background distractions, resulting in recordings that are easy to understand. AI-Powered Transcription is a Game-Changer: The core strength of the Plaud Note lies in its AI transcription. It accurately converts spoken words into text, saving countless hours of manual transcribing. While not perfect (more on that later), it's surprisingly accurate, especially with clear speakers and minimal background noise. The AI also identifies speakers, a feature that can be incredibly useful for meetings. A Productivity Booster: The AI's ability to summarize lengthy recordings and extract key topics is incredibly useful. It allows you to quickly grasp the essence of a conversation or lecture without having to listen to the entire thing. The keyword extraction is also handy for quickly finding specific information within a large archive of recordings. Seamless Integration with iOS and Android: The Plaud Note companion app is well-designed and intuitive. It seamlessly syncs recordings from the device, allowing you to easily access, edit, and share your transcripts. The app is available for both iOS and Android, ensuring broad compatibility. Compact and Portable Design: The Plaud Note is incredibly small and lightweight, making it easy to carry around in your pocket or attach to your phone. Its unobtrusive design makes it ideal for discreetly recording meetings or lectures. Magnetic Attachment to iPhone: The magnetic attachment (if you opt for the MagSafe version) is a clever design choice. It allows you to easily attach the Plaud Note to the back of your iPhone for convenient recording and charging. The Not-So-Good: Areas for Improvement Transcription Accuracy Isn't Always Perfect: While the AI transcription is impressive, it's not flawless. It can struggle with strong accents, technical jargon, or recordings with significant background noise. You'll still need to review and edit transcripts to ensure accuracy, but it still saves a significant amount of time compared to manual transcription. Subscription Model for Premium Features: To unlock the full potential of the Plaud Note's AI capabilities (including unlimited transcription and summarization), you'll need to subscribe to a premium plan. This can be a significant recurring cost, especially for occasional users. Battery Life Could Be Better: While the battery life is decent for short recordings, it can drain relatively quickly during longer sessions. If you plan on using the Plaud Note for extended periods, you'll need to keep a power bank handy. Build Quality Could Be More Premium: While the Plaud Note is well-designed, the plastic construction feels a bit less premium than I expected, especially considering the price point. A more robust build would add to the overall perceived value.

Works Great For Capturing Essence of Meetings, Lectures, Etc
The Plaud Note AI Voice Recorder is excellent for what it does., which is record your meetings, lectures, etc and then apply AI to extract the most important information from that recording and present it to you in a variety of ways. To do this it uses prebuilt templates (you can do your own). You can get a summary, a todo list, and qualitative analysis, and so forth. I connects to real AI advanced pattern matching engines to do this. It can be a true time saver for sales people, I.T. people (me), students, administrators, or anyone needing to retain important information from a meeting. You get 5 hours a month for FREE. There are subscription plans offering minutes or unlimited if your needs require it. I was truly amazed. The one thing that caused me angst is it will not record a call, or a phone meeting if you are using a bluetooth headset. and that was the killer for me, as I do use one with ANC because my work environment can be noisy. I understand that Plaud is working to solve this and when they do, I will be a customer. For everyone else it is the quickest, most accurate way to retain the results of meetings, lectures etc. Sound quality is superb. You can play the sound file if you wish to do so. and the Plaud can record hours of meetings on a single charge. There are more positives than I can cover here. With the exception of the bluetooth headset inconvenience, highly recommended. Unfortunately the headset thing meant I had to return mine.

The greatest thing since sliced bread!
Purchased my Plaud Note AI Voice Recorder in September, 2025, and immediately fell in love with it! My wife and I are in our 80's and not surprisingly have a lot of medical appointments. No longer do we get home and ask each other "What did the doctor say about that?" If you're my age you know I'm talking about. The Plaud is small, the size of a credit card, and fits nicely in a shirt pocket. You turn it on when the physician comes in and turn it off when you leave. The Plaud app the captures the recording, runs it through AI, and generates a report that is amazingly concise, complete and correct. And it picks up everything - even things I didn't hear clearly in the conversation with the doctor. Unfortunately, after a month it stopped working. But, again, good news! I contacted tech support, provided them with the serial number, and they sent me a new device which I'm now using. As good as any tech support I've ever dealt with. No hassles or hoops to jump through. I'm a happy user, and only wish I had some stock in the company!

Excellent AI Transcriber
After using this on multiple meetings I feel confident enough to leave a review regarding it's functionalities, positives, and negatives. Positives: * To start off with it is super thin! This comes in handy for people, such as myself, that carries a lot into meetings. Not having the added weight or bulk is fantastic. The included black "pleather" magnetic case attached to my phone and is not easily removed. This makes it even easier to tote around all the time. * Activating the recorder is as simple as pressing a button for 2 seconds, same as ending the recording. * The integration into the Plaud app is wonderful. You are able to view battery life, setup your personal cloud, import audio from other sources for transcribing, and export or save your transcriptions. * Battery life has been fantastic so far. Haven't needed to charge it in the time I've had it. Negatives (not really bad, just things that could be worked on) * Transcription can take a while depending on the length of the meeting. * No AI recorder/transcriber will be 100%, but this one is close at about 95%. Certain dialects and/or speech impediments aren't transcribed properly, which is as expected. It does allow editing after transcription. * There are times when I find it necessary to remove the Plaud device from the magnetic case, and the way they have it designed makes it near impossible. * 300 transcription minutes a month is not nearly enough. I foresee needing to subscribe to the higher tier, which has me thinking if I would be better off using a cheap recorder and paying for a ChatGPT service for transcription. I would be able to use that for more things as well. All in all, this has been a fantastic addition to my arsenal of tools that help organize my life. For now I will stick with the Plaud unless I find a cheaper alternative or Plaud drops their prices a little bit.

Game-Changing Tool for Busy Professionals
The Plaud Note has completely changed how I handle meetings. I run a lot of them and have always struggled to take notes while staying engaged with clients. In the past, I’d jot down key points and later build out meeting minutes—but that process always left gaps in the details. Now, with the Plaud Note, I can capture everything effortlessly. I usually don’t replay entire meetings unless I’m double-checking a transcription, but it’s great knowing I can. I don’t use Plaud’s transcription service regularly—I prefer exporting the recordings and uploading them into AI tools like Perplexity or Gemini, which I already subscribe to. Both handle the content really well. That said, Plaud’s own transcription service is impressive when I use the free minutes—it organizes discussions clearly and makes review easy. If their paid plan were more affordable, I’d happily switch full-time. Until then, my hybrid approach works perfectly. Overall, it’s an excellent product that’s made my workflow far more efficient. On the other hand, the Plaud Pin hasn’t been as reliable. Its recordings are inconsistent and sometimes fail entirely. The Plaud Note, in contrast, has been rock solid since day one. Pro Tip: I use a faux leather PopSocket wallet (not the plastic one), which fits great with my iPhone 15 Pro and holds the Plaud Note securely. The included case didn’t fit as well and had weaker magnets, so this has been a much better solution.

I was sceptical about this but...
I was sceptical about this but I was wrong. Please note: I am an Android user and I reviewed it base on Android app only. I only did 9 recordings so far. But all the recording results are excellent. Ten things I like about it. 1. It transcript everything for me and quite accurate as well, saved me so much time from typing while interviewing people or listening to lectures. 2. It gives good summary, although not always accurate but I did say 95% correct for my use. 3. It is very small! So small that I think nobody will see it if you put it behind your phone and place the phone on the meeting table. 4. You can record it without opening the app from your phone. Make it much faster to record and much more discreet. 5. The UI is super simple to use. 6. Easy to set up 7. The battery is pretty long 8. It came with a pouch! 9. It also understood people accent well as well. which is awesome. 10. 3months free Pro plan to explore what Pro features may have. Things I wish they can improve on. 1. Make the "Device" tab as a part of the navigation menu. It is a bit hard to check the device battery when you need to click 3 times deep inside the menu. 2. I wish the first tab alway set to be Transcript as you need to transcript first before you can Summarise the voice recording. Make it one extra click which is unnecessary. 3. I wish it has usb-c or something common so I can charge it when I forget to bring the charger cable. But again... it's so thin that I think the thickness of the device is only about 2mm taller than the usb-c itself! That is incredibly thin! 4. I wish it can act as a usb drive. 5. Pro plan is a little high. The discounted price (50%) is a lot more affordable. All in all, I am very happy about it so far. I saved me literally hours of typing. This review is too long to type in comparison.
