More like a swim suit or dancer garment than panties. And that elastic is no joke! I’m a size 4 and after reading reviews I thought I’d be safe and order the XL. It still cuts into my hips lol. Hopefully the elastic will relax a bit after the first wash and wear. They are well made, the materials used just don’t allow for proper sizing.
