I needed something to cover the dirt in the yard where grass won't grow to keep the dogs from getting muddy. This product worked perfectly throughout the winter. Unfortunately, it's spring and the birds think it makes wonderful nest material. I just wish I was able to post the video of the birds pulling this covering apart.

If you mow over it and the string is caught it will jam up your mower and rip out the grass at the same time.. If you try to pull it up manually you pull up the young grass too.. so this netting is basically single use that has to stay there forever until it biodegrades or it’s winter and you can’t mow pull it up.. NOT as marketed.

A little tricky unrolling but if you take your time and handle gently it rolls right out. Once down and wetted it holds the grass seed in place and really helps the soil to retain moisture. Keeps soil in place to help control erosion on slopes. Grass seed germinates and grows right threw blanket easily

Bought to lay over fresh grass seed. It stayed out and held the seed.

Hard to roll out at first but once started it went down fine. Looked decent considering there's a pretty large bare spot. Satisfied with the lay down I went into house for 5 mins. Came back out and my 5 month old rotty had dragged every layer out into the yard! Picture is after he drug it around and I tried to relay it. Used landscape spikes to hold down but that didn't help. Just be watchful if you have pets. Not sure how it'll hold up to rain, a good bit of the straw is in the yard now. We'll see.

As you can see in the pics it works great, not even 2 weeks and there's grass.. My wife and I carefully enrolled it onto the area that I seeded and fertilized and added manure and miracle grow for new lawns and there's grass (bahia) growing... We live in south Florida and it's almost impossible to grow grass from seed, must be November - December, or you need expensive sod for the rest of the year...

BEWARE! This product is not like in the description. Very light and in my opinion useless. Even though description was misleading, the company refused to accept return unless I paid shipping. Fortunately, Amazon is reimbursing me for shipping but hassle contacting seller and Amazon multiple times. I do not recommend this product.
