The pins that hold the briquettes in place are more narrowly spaced than the cut outs are from the end of the briquette metal frame for the 500 Lynx. I had written a previous 1 star review. The cutouts need to be about one half inch more on both sides of both ends. I tried to cut the stainless steel with snips and hacksaw but this metal is very tough.I improved my rating because when it is installed, it does lean as you can see in the photo. However, this lean is not much and it still cooks fine. More importantly, the official briquettes replacement cannot be found anywhere. So this solution is satisfactory if not perfect.

This briquette produces an even heat across the entire grill and prevents flare ups from the grease drips. Fits perfectly in our BBQ, we just removed the flavorizer shields and replaced them with this briquette set.
