Great Zigbee temperature sensor, accurate, easy to connect.
I have a Home Assistant server running at my house that controls a variety of devices and services (e.g. lights, switches, valves, etc.) and wanted to add temperature sensing. My old sensors from a different brand used Bluetooth Low-Energy, but their short-range signal couldn't reach the server (I had to use their phone app, which was not ideal). I had previously installed a Zigbee mesh network for several devices, and adding these Zigbee sensors to that network was simple: tell the Zigbee coordinator to look for new devices, insert the batteries into the sensors (or push and hold the button in the sensor for 5 seconds to enter pairing mode), wait 30 seconds, and they're good to go. I use Zigbee Home Automation (ZHA) and it got them set perfectly. The measurements are accurate (they match reality, as determined by other sensors I've previously calibrated) and precise/consistent (the Third Reality sensors all agreed with each other within the specified accuracy). For testing purposes, I moved several of the sensors around to different areas of the house and after a few hours they realized that there was a closer Zigbee router with stronger signal and automatically switched to connect to that, better signal. Certain other brands of sensors like "lock on" to a single router and if that router ever goes offline or they lose signal from it they never try to find another router on the network. That's not an issue with these sensors. Pros: - Simple: there's one button to put the sensor in pairing mode, and an LED that flashes to indicate when it's in pairing mode. - Checks for better signal/routers and will switch as needed. (That is, it's a good member of the mesh network.) - Accurate temperature and humidity readings. - Reliable data transmission. With the exception of the few times I rebooted the server or disconnected the Zigbee coordinator for testing purposes, the data from the sensors has been reliably sent to the server without issue. Several sensors were within a few feet of a WiFi hotspot (WiFi can sometimes cause interference with Zigbee since they share the 2.4 GHz band) and worked without any problems. - Use standard AA batteries rather than costly coin cells. - In addition to sending temperature and humidity data, they also send their battery charge level. Setting up an alert in Home Assistant so one knows when to change the batteries is recommended. - Very power efficient. Two AAA batteries should give years of service. Cons: - No option to calibrate the sensor. (While the sensors on mine are accurate, it would be nice to have an option to send calibration commands to them to correct for any error.) - No loop or other means of mounting or hanging it somewhere. My Bluetooth-based sensors are hung from a short string in the air in their various locations so they only measure air temperature and aren't influenced by sitting on a shelf or something. These sensors don't have a hole for threading a string or lanyard.

Works great and is discreet
Sensor is a great size, comes with included sticky pads for easy install onto a wall, and provides prompt updates as to the temperature and humidity of the location its installed in. A great way to monitor the temperature of a room/garage/plumbing at a low cost. The included AAA batteries and ease of pairing into home assistant make this device super easy to setup.

Very impressed for a affordable device like this.
The good: Very easy to setup, and the readings are accurate. The Zigbee range is better than advertised but decrease very fast with the battery health. The temperature sensor is very reactive and will pickup temperature changes quickly. The firmware allows offsets configuration to adjust the sensor if it gets off-range. This happens when used outside the temperature scale. I have one in a freezer, and it gets wrong readings below -15C (And I cannot blame Thirdreality for that as it is outside the specs), but I managed to get very accurate readings by adjusting the offset there. The less good: The range decrease a lot when the battery are draining, so make sure it is not too far from a Zigbee router or coordinator so you don't have to replace the battery too often. The humidity sensor is too enclosed and struggle getting fast changes in humidity level (e.g. in a bathroom). I worked it out by drilling an extra "vent" on top of the sensor that increase airflow in the box and fixed the issue. the reading are now fast and still accurate. Overall, the device is good quality at a correct price. performances are as expected and the firmware is of good quality. Thirdreality keep surprising me in the Zigbee field with very good hardware and firmware while keeping prices in check.

good price, easy setup, works well
a good price, and my smartthings hub found it right away. No configuration issues. From there, Alexa/amazon found it and I can verbally ask what the temp is. I use this in an outdoor cat house to make sure its warm enough for the outdoor kitties. I like that it uses regular batteries, and came with them, vs the coin-sized ones, which a lot of my other sensors use. despite being outdoors and the hub being on another floor, connectivity via zigbee is great. humidity is not something I needed/wanted, but its a nice to have.

Disappointing
I have about 8 of these. They work great when they connect. Unfortunately about 50% of them just refuse to connect to my zigbee network despite hours of troubleshooting. The seller wasn't very helpful and just suggested I use their hub. I have over 40 other zigbee devices, all of which have connected fine. Avoid and try a different brand.

Good product for the price. Zigbee enabled.
I like that this sensor is Zigbee. The sensors are not as full featured as some others I have. I am just using it to track when my gas fireplace is operating, and will eventually paint it with a relay to turn on a fan to help distribute the heat better in my studio . The price is great for the features. Easy to set up and monitor. I already have a couple other Third Reality devices, and already had the app, so it was easy to pair and use.

Works Well
I’m using this to monitor the temperature in the cantilevered part of my house where we stupidly placed part of a tub filler’s plumbing so that I can make sure we don’t freeze a pipe in Winter. It seems accurate and to update plenty frequently (using Home Assistant).

These temp/humidity sensors seem to be fairly nice, but a few small issues exist.
I bought these Zigbee temp and Humidity sensors to pair with a SMLIGHT SLZB-MR3 Ethernet POE Zigbee Coordinator and to be used within Home Assistant. For the most part, pairing went fine (but it took a few minutes), but after pairing all 3 units, one of them just won't share it's battery charge. I've reset the sensor and have repaired it, but it just won't display it's battery percentage. The rest of the sensors work fine, and overall, I'm pretty happy with the value. It's also nice that they're that small as I've put one in my humidor and write a script to let me know if the humidity is getting too low.

Nice little sensor for inside the house. I've been using it for a few weeks connected to Home Assistant Z2MQTT without any problem.

This temperature and humidity sensor has worked flawlessly inside my home. It paired easily with Home Assistant using Zigbee2MQTT, updates frequently, and gives accurate readings that help me monitor indoor conditions. I especially appreciate the use of AAA batteries—they last longer and perform better than the button cells used in other brands. Build quality is excellent, and the design is clean and unobtrusive. If you’re looking for a dependable sensor for smart home integration, this one delivers.
