Taken seriously, acted upon and not just read Game Changers could provide just that, if not so much a change of game a changed result where people and communities are transformed by proactive church and proactive individuals asking hearing and responding to the authentic voice of God.Game Changers is a really good resource and follow up to 2015 Spring Harvest material on the God who can do immeasurably more than we dream or imagine. Although, to me, obvious follow up, the reading (Ephesians 3:20 is regularly referred to) this resource also easily stands alone.I am a simple soul who likes to reflect and understand what he is reflecting on. This book does and helps this. It it accessible with some really good biblical links (great to be introduced to Hur and others, not just the more obvious biblical figures.)Too many books, too many materials on encouraging the church to help bring change seem to sub-consciously lean towards larger churches with a mass of resources. Game Changers can be for big church and the smallest, urban and rural and importantly for individuals and small groups.It uses stories of those who have and are impacting the world in everyday life (really good Chapter 6 - Speak Up, Stand Up, Act Up .)Written with what appears great honesty and vulnerability it ends with...Wherever, whatever, and whenever. Will you join us....Now that is a courageous pray! Highly recommend this resource.

Game Changers was an excellent read that looks at Moses leading his people to the Promised Land then relates this to our world today and challenges us to consider what part we will play in helping to grow God's Kingdom. I loved that fact that the book was written with personal reference to Gavin and Anne Calver's own lives and how they were challenged themselves, whilst writing the book. This resulted in them facing huge changes as individuals and as a family which really encouraged me to reflect on my own walk with God and where I am and where He wants me to be. I found that throughout I was writing in the margin and highlighting lots of real nuggets of insights and I also loved the fact that each chapter also includes group study questions so that it can be used for further discussions with house groups. I found it inspiring and would definitely recommend this book.
