I noticed when I got the new remote in my hand that it feels like the same material build as the original remote. I had a problem with the original remote that came with the Chromecast device over time as the first button that went was the mute button then after that a few months later both the volume up and down buttons stopped responding to the Chromecast, so I decided that it was time to get this replacement remote. Set up was flawless without any problems, and when I got the replacement remote control connected to the Chromecast, everything works fine as every button is responding to Chromecast. Durability of the remote is the same as the original remote control and I'm hoping that this one lasts as long or longer then the original remote control that came with the Chromecast. I'm very happy that the cost of the remote control wasn't an arm and leg, as under $10 is a great price for the item. If you're in need to switch your G9N9N (2020) Chromecast remote control, I would say don't shy away from this one and get it as I'm very pleased with my purchase of this item.

Paired easily and works great

Glad I found this replacement. Works as great as the one that came with my Google Chromecast.

I’ve been using it for the last couple months and I have not had any problems works great volume works great and what do you know I found the missing one ha I’d recommend this for anybody that needs a second remote

Update the volume controls stopped working as did the pairing buttons but is the remote arrived on time and was as advertised. It took less than two minutes to pair with my device and has worked flawlessly since I paired it. It was a little surprised and disappointed that it did not include batteries. It would’ve been nice to know that ahead of time luckily, I had batteries available.

For a generic brand it does the same thing as the chrome one and cheaper

Terrible product, wouldn't stay connected. Tried new batteries it would work off and on. Volume buttons would not work either overall not happy with the product. Recommend just buying the official Google remote replacement and not waste the time and money on this product.
