Easy setup, works great, easy to use, a very informative tool. Works fast, diagnosis entire vehicle, connected quickly , worth the price to get the answer to the codes and also projects the cost of parts to repair the vehicle.

The Innova 1000 OBD2 Scanner works really well, and shows codes that a normal code reader won't; things like glitches in the comms between the car's computer modules. It will allow you to view and record live data from the vehicle; a BIG help when relating issues to a mechanic. You can "catch the car in the act" and show the mechanic the recorded live data for more effective troubleshooting. This scanner is a MUST if you're in the market for a used car. When you plug the scanner into the OBD2 port, it determines the make, model, and year of the car and pulls down the pertinent parameters for it on the associated app. You always have the latest info for the vehicle and the scanner! The app is on the clunky side. It's a bit slow, and sometimes needs to be restarted after doing a test. That's the only reason for four stars instead of five. Also note that you MUST have a smartphone for this thing to work, and the phone MUST have a cell or WiFi connection for the app to work. All this being said, I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. It actually saved me from making a BIG mistake while I was recently shopping for a used car!

Very easy to connect to my phone and it started reading info quickly. The app works very well and gives good, detailed instructions and information. You can record in real-time while driving for comparative testing. Very pleased with this!

I've been using an Innova 3211 OBD reader for many years now. However just about a month ago it began erroring every time I tried to read the data on my daughters cars, a 2003 Toyota Camry, and a 2004 Mercury Marquis. Error reading data. So i could no longer clear the check engine light, which in Illinois means, that you arent going to pass the emissions test and you have are gonna spend lots of money to fix whatever is causing the check engine light. Anyway, my one daughter had purchased this new Innova unit but had not used it yet. I gave it a try and was very happy to see I was able to read all the data successfully and clear the check engine light on both vehicles. Not sure why the 3211 is no longer working correctly, but it was worth the money back then for the 3211 and it is certainly worth the money for this new version. I highly recommend and have been a loyal Innova customer for decades.

Great tool but from time to time I lose connection with my iPhone. I had to connect and disconnect to get back to it. It’s easy to use and is a very good value for the money. It’s a little slow to upload result to the iPhone.

One of the best items I've gotten for car troubleshooting. This one is everything I expected plus a little more with the simplicity of the way the app sorts the faults. So far it has worked really well and has been very accurate with reading codes on all three of my vehicles. Surprised at how quickly it returns the results for a portable unit. You can save your vehicles and not have to enter VIN every time thereafter. Wasn't hard connecting to my phone once the app was downloaded. Every time I have had a warning light it has accurately given the same code result as the mechanic shop nearby I use. The fact that it lets you click on the needed parts and does an instant search at most common after market stores locally makes it that much faster to find what you need for the repair. Makes it easy to have a reference on what the potential parts could cost. Also, to know what parts are actually needed before going to a shop. The other cool feature I like is it gives the severity of fault and ratings on urgency of repair. Planning to buy another to place in my sister's car so I can teach her how to check codes and tell me what is needed before going to help fix things on her car....Perfect gift for your wife, girlfriend, or college student to make car maintenance easier and more efficient. Great gift for a guy too! Definitely worth what I paid for it.

I’m definitely not one to leave reviews, however I’m extremely thrilled with this scanner. I’ve been having an on and off check engine light on my 2018 Silverado 1500 since I bought the vehicle in 2021. Usually it only comes on during the Minnesota winter, so having to drive to Autozone or bring it into the dealership is a real pain when it’s -15° out.Getting the scanner and app set up took literally one minute. Captured everything I need from the Vehicle information to the MIL DTC and other stored codes. Some have said the dongle is cheaply made, which might be true, but what difference does it make when it’s discrete and clean. What matters is the ability to hold a connection (no issues), reliability, and that it functions correctly- all of which seem to be true.Definitely would recommend to anyone who is mechanically inclined or if you’re a cautious driver who hates the pesky orange light. You can clear codes, monitor live reports, record your vehicles data. Really a sweet tool.
