Helped a lot to have a 3rd step
So much easier to get out of the pool. Fit into the old holes perfectly. Only thing is that the bottom does not touch the sides of the pool but we are still going to keep it.

not as expected
I bought this ladder to use for our fish pond when we clean it or for the times it is necessary to get inside. The description and picture indicate it did not need to be bolted in place. We put it together and put it into pond. There was no way that it could be used without being bolted in place. We disassembled and carefully re-packed. It was then that I noticed that I was responsible for cost to return. This cane in a large box and was going back to New Jersey and I live in CA. The cost would have been more than it was worth. I will pay closer attention next time.

Difficult to assemble.
The holes where one inserts the bolt to fasten the step to the side rails are not machined properly…required a difficult reaming out before the bolt would slide into place. Made in China.
