Delivered on time and well packaged. This propagator is absolutely brilliant but unfortunately when we opened the box the air vent cover was missing. This is obviously an important part of this particular propagator and sadly being missing makes the item unusable. I have requested a return and replacement which will hopefully arrive quickly. If the replacement arrives complete I shall update my review to 5* as I believe this would be a decent quality item that will work well. It is a good large size that feels sturdy with a good height to the lid. Kind regards. My 6 cuttings are all sat quite happily inside with plenty of room to spare. The bottom tray is made from a good strong, sturdy plastic and the lid has a good height to it and fits nice and snug. The air vent works very well by moving a small sliding cover from side to side. Fantastic value with brilliant after sales service. Would definitely buy again. 5* Thank you 😃

I've bought a few of these (non-electric) propagators in all three sizes and find them far better than the ordinary ones with the flimsy plastic covers. The covers are high enough for taller cuttings, the ventilation is handy, and they're far sturdier than the normal ones. Am sure they will last a good few years with care. The bottom tray measures 35 x 21 cm on the inside, including the little ridge around the inside edges, but you can stand pots/trays right up to the edge, as the higher level of the bottom is level with the ridge. The tray is 6.5 cm high measured on the outside, and the lid is about 11 cm high. Outside measurements of the bottom tray are 38 x 24 cm. The material is quite sturdy, and the bottom tray is virtually unbreakable. The cover is brittle, and while quite strong, can be broken, at least the edges can be broken off if you drop it and falls on edge. I imagine it would be quite hard to break the whole cover, though. The cover can be scratched, too, if you're not careful, but again, it's not really easy to do. The only thing I don't like about the 38 cm ones is that the trays are not flat. The way the plastic has been moulded leaves a large section of the bottom higher by about 5 mm than the surrounding bottom. Firstly, this means you can fit fewer pots, as you can only stand the pots on one level. Secondly, if like me, you use a heating mat underneath, it means the pots on the raised sections don't get heated as much as those on the other parts. Neither of the other sizes are made like this, they both have flat bottoms, with the 22 cm one having some narrow, shallow ridges, which don't affect the positioning of the pots inside or the heat distribution. But suppose if you line them with gravel as intended, this does not matter. I've not tried yet how that affects the heat distribution into the pots - with a heated propagator, it's probably fine, but when using a heat mat with a non-electric propagator, it's another layer between the pots and the heat source, although the moisture might help distribute the heat, as if you use heat cables, you've got to lay them in moist sand, so maybe it'd work better.. Otherwise, am really pleased with these and would recommend. Btw: one of the big DIY stores, the one with 2 letters for a name, does these as their own brand propagators, for a slightly lower price but otherwise identical to these.

Study made and large. Has air vents. Only downside is that the lid just sits on the top of the base as doesn’t lock in.

Keeps a good, consistent temperature and is really useful for starting seeds. I’d definitely recommend adding a layer of potting grit in the bottom before placing your pots – it helps with drainage and keeps things tidy. Overall, very happy with it and would recommend to anyone looking for a reliable electric propagator.

This is a huge size propagator and will cater for your plant growth needs for a long time as it can take multiple pots up to 1 litre in size. Creates the perfect indoor greenhouse and you do not need to worry about fitting them in, their height allows for a few inches of plant growth. Like other reviewers the first one I got was faulty (which is a bit tricky to figure out as there is no indication it is working). The only way I found out the replacement I got was working was because of the water condensation at the root of the product which implies heating is taking place. Due to the low temperature there is no way to find out if it is working by touching the interior, only a soil thermometer will help. As for the product it is excellent and I have managed to get many plants germinated through this. I have a Naga Chilli plant that has grown 4 inches in just 4 weeks by growing them in the propagator. Goes well with the grow lights I use - http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00WC35RJ2 Highly recommended and I chose this over the variable temperature control version of this product because the other one requires you to put a strip inside the soil which can get awkward and does not seem an accurate way of controlling temperature.

Plastic cover is very flimsy and the heater bit doesn't seem to get hot enough. Seeds take aa long time to germinate.

These are super strong and sturdy and large enough for multiple seeds

La verdad me parece un producto de una calidad excelente en su formato Eléctrico Premium con carcasa rígida, es muy espacioso, bastante alto, aunque viene con unas guías en ingles, que si se traducen, la verdad son muy útiles para propagar semillas, esquejes, y esquejes de hojas y algún que otro consejo. Como añadido trae 3 bandejas semilleros y varias macetas individuales para semillas y plantones.

Ho acquistato il germinatore Stewart da 52cm di lunghezza, e ne sono molto soddisfatto. Quando è arrivato mi sembrava davvero sovradimensionato rispetto alle mie esigenze, ma è bastato riempirlo con i relativi vasetti per rendermi conto che le misure erano corrette e che la taglia da 38cm sarebbe stata forse un po' piccola. La qualità dei materiali è ottima davvero: plastica rigida e assolutamente solida, sia alla base che per il coperchio. La struttura non teme umidità né ristagni d'acqua, mentre ovviamente il contenuto come ad esempio i vasetti biodegradabili, sì. È dotato di due pratici regolatori d'aria sul coperchio che, scorrendo sui loro binari, consentono di impostare a piacere la quantità d'aria scambiata con l'esterno del germinatore. Il coperchio trasparente consente di monitorare in maniera molto chiara la situazione all'interno senza doverlo alzare ogni volta. Il coperchio non ha nessun meccanismo di bloccaggio: si sovrappone semplicemente alla base appoggiandolo lungo la scanalatura che corre tutto intorno. La struttura è molto semplice: base e coperchio. La base non è dotata di alcun vassoio di germinazione, quindi ci si deve eventualmente attrezzare in altro modo. Non è presente né lampada né tantomeno tappeto riscaldante: anche questi sono accessori da acquistare a parte. Lo sto utilizzando esclusivamente all'aperto sul balcone, come riparo notturno per i germogli quando la temperatura scende sotto i 15° e quando il meteo dà pioggia. Il germinatore tiene temperatura ed umidità costanti, è abbastanza basso e largo da non temere il vento ed è sufficientemente resistente nei materiali da sopportare tranquillamente la pioggia. Il packaging è molto curato e la scatola è protetta all'interno per evitare danneggiamenti del contenuto. La spedizione è stata molto rapida. Sono molto soddisfatto.
