The american version i had as a kid contained almonds. in fact at one point it was named the "mars chocolate almond bar". do these contain almonds?

It doesn’t have almonds like the old ones This is a good candy bar but totally different

I'm not sure. One of the ingredients in a Mars bar is glucose syrup. Glucose syrup is made from starchy food sources, including corn. The problem is, glucose syrup is such a vague term that I'm not sure if this candy bar is made from corn syrup.

How much does each candy bar weigh?

This is the 58g bar. Be careful. Some multipacks are the 36 or 38 g size. I was stung once on getting "little bars", never again. Be careful. This one sends regular size bars.

Far below expectation

I am Mars candy fan. So ordered some. However, the chocolate bars I received had cracks and seemed to be leaking. They are not like how they would look/feel/taste from a corner grocery store. They are not expired, yet they seem to have stayed on some shelf for quite a while before they were delivered to me.

Product Not What I Hoped For

This is not the original Mars Bar I had as a kid. There were no almonds in it and the packaging was different so I expected as much. The bar is good tasting just not the same. Just disappointed for nostalgic reasons.

Disappointed only because it isn't the original

The Mars bar was one of my favorite candy bars from my youth. Snickers is my top favorite followed by Milky Way and then Mars.The bar is chewy and rich dark chocolate and caramel and unlike the Milky Way. This isn't the same bar from so many decades ago. The one I remember had almonds and nougat. This is an imported candy from Africa. I think it might be the English version which obviously is different from the US made bar that was discontinued in the early 2000's. I should have read the other reviews to learn before I ordered mine.I'm undecided whether to continue purchasing this candy bar. It's expensive as just a about everything is today.
