Works best on 220v
Pretty darn good for a cheap unit. You Better have a big air compressor and 220v available because it does not like 120v unless it’s on the minimal setting cutting thin metal. it also uses a lot of air. I have a 30 gallon compressor I wouldn’t recommend anything smaller than 15-20 . Light weight very portable cuts through 1/4 inch steel easy and easy to set up. I do wish the air hose was different though

Great inexpensive welder.
The design is amazing durability right now. I have used it quite a lot and it’s keeping up. It works well. I have had no problems with it. I made a fence for my house a gate and a welding cart. Also did a side job with it and it worked great no complaints good job arc captain.

Nice budget plasma cutter
Works well. Attractive design. Cuts through metal brackets and tubings with ease. Can’t complain for my first plasma cutter!

Great plasma cutter
Did some reviews of plasma cutters after using one on my friends. I didn’t want to spend a lot on a product that I would probably be used a few times a month and happened to come across an advertisement for the arccaptain 50. The reviews on YouTube were very positive, the price was right, so decided to take the plunge. When I received the cutter I was surprised how light and compact it was. I tried it on 110 and it work good until my air compressor kicked on. I had to order an adapter for the 220 since my 220 outlet is the old 3 blade type. Tried on 220 and was surprised on how well it cut. My friend stopped by and was so impressed that he ordered him one to replace his 15yr old cutter. Over all I am very well pleased with it and hopefully it will give me years of service.

WOW...It works better that described.
We love this cutter. On 120 V we easily cut 1/4 and with 220 V we cut thru 5/8" the thickest we had in stock. It blew threw the 5/8" like if was paper.

Great product
I was very skeptical about this plasma cutter. Till we used it it cut steel like it was Botta. Best purchase for the price can't go wrong.Thick a metal, you have to go a little slower. Thin metal goes fast as you want

Initial impressions- good
Want to preface this saying that I will update the review with further use. I have used a plasma cutter quite a bit in the past but it’s been 15 years or so so I’m slightly rusty.Initial impressions are good, very happy with how small the unit is compared to the older hypotherm I’ve used in the past. Ordered at noon on Saturday and unit was on my door step at 4:30pm Sunday night. Unboxing and assembly was easy. The pilot arc ring terminal could be slightly smaller to better fit the stud but that’s a very minor complaint. The air hose I didn’t have any difficulty like some, a simple hose barb and quick connect fitting and I was in business. Unit fired right up and cut some dirty 1/4” I had handy to test it with.Used again today to cut out a grave marker for a family pet from 1/4” stainless, very satisfied with the unit so far especially for being all in with spare consumables for around $340 versus the price tags of a comparable Miller unit
