Excellent cue for the money

Good weight for me ideal took me just under an hour to get used to itLooking forward to using cue on a regular basis at my local snooker club

OK, so at this price point, you cannot expect much. I have a relatively cheap cue that I use when playing twice a week, and when I say relatively cheap, it was £150. So, at the current price of £34.99, this lived up to the expectations I had, which weren't a lot. I will use it primarily for breaking, as my main cue has an 8.5mm tip, so isn't great for breaking.This cue was simply packaged in a plastic bag (and Amazon box). It screws together well enough, it's straight and feels smooth in the hand. The top shaft is weird, in that it is partially laquered (a few inches), then it seems, untreated. I don't know if this is designed so the top part of the cue shaft is smoother, but it just looks a little odd. You can see it in the product pictures if you look closely.With a 13mm tip, this cue is primarily designed for 9 ball or American pool, where the balls are massive. Or, in my case breaking. The tip is ok but cheap, you may want to replace that. But, at this price point, you cannot expect much and at the price given, its worthy of the money.

I have played snooker all my adult life and even captained the works team in my early years so I know my way round a table / cue. I have several snooker cues but this is my first pool cue. With a 13mm tip this is definitely more suitable for pool (as my snooker cues have a smaller tip for better close control).This is a good quality cue with a 50/50 joint and a nice blue colour on the butt. It runs completely true (flat) when rolled on a snooker table and is made to a decent quality. It doesnt come with a case and would suggest one is purchased separately, but for £38 I wouldnt expect one.About 2/3 of a way up the cue the lacquer coating stops and this is so the cue will run smoothly. I usually have a towel/flannel with some talc on so I can rub on my hand when my hand gets hot or sticky as a smooth action gives confidence. You dont want the cue sticking and not running smoothly during the shot and this is why there is no lacquer at the tip end of the cue.All in all a nice pool cue.

This is a nice quality cue with a pleasing understated design and good finishing. The lacquer finishes halfway down the cue leaving the unlacquered shaft nice and smooth for optimal handling. It feels good in the hand and I can perform well with it.Recommended!

I do enjoy a game of pool however can't help but feel left out when going to pool halls with friends when they have their own cues and I'm using bent house cues. This cue from cue-king is brilliant, it's very vibrant in colour with a striking blue and black lower section, which then blends into the natural wood look on the upper half.Being new to pool, im not really sure how it compares to the big names however it feels perfect for me. It has a nice rubber protector on the base which helps save it from damage when resting on the floor between shots. The thread engagement is great and feels very good quality. The cue locks in well when screwed together and I didn't notice it coming loose through use.My only downside is a lack of carry case / bag. That would habe really finished off this cue and made it feel like the whole package, however it wasn't listed as included so can't really drop any stars as the cue itself is great.

My son likes to play pool from time to time so I thought I'd get him this.He likes having his own cue because then he looks the business even if he doesn't play very well.Also he knows that he's going to have a decent cue in reasonable condition.It is priced just right for its quality and make.
