Good For Runners!
I used this to hold my phone and money while running. I'm sure it would be handy to use just as a regular fanny pack too.

Use it as an added medical drop bag
I'm a combat medic and use this as an addition drop bag for an initial bag for TCCC. It holds all the major Hemorrhage, Airway and Breathing. interventions to treat one patient. Just enough to get the job done and stabilize before I go into my Mystery Ranch Pack to do the definitive treatments. I don't really have any other intended uses for this but I could see it holding snacks and some stuff for hiking as well.

not your pappy's fanny pack!
not your pappy's fanny pack, a little more modern take on the fanny pack. Have one in this color (barley) and also the "hops" color (which is basically OD/military green green). Slender enough to wear under a t-shirt of you can't handle the whole "1980's/early 1990's fanny pack thing." Part of my EDC/concealed carry set-up. Works like a charm. Can even leave zippers partially open (they will stay put) for quick access/fast mag changes etc. Haven't had anything fall out yet. A little pricey for what it is I feel like, I think $19 or $25 would be more appropriate and comparable to the offerings from other manufacturers (jansport, outdoor products, etc.), but its well made too. I wish mountainsmith wouldn't have sold out and would have stayed american made, but I think they still make decent stuff (albeit foreign-made stuff). My favorite thing about the pack is the quick release buckle and where it is located. Easy to remove the pack one-handed if necessary.

EDC Awesome
Lumbar pack arrived quickly and in expected condition.Pros: It's comfortable. Adjusts to a pretty extreme range of waist sizes. Slim. When it's not stuffed to the brim it disappears well underneath an untucked shirt either in lumbar carry or in front. Not leather.Cons: as manufactured, the main compartment zipper is just a tad slow to open from one end to the other. The 1/2 inch flap of textile that lays over the zipper gives the pack better resistance to rain, but makes it hard to rip it open quickly (i.e., CCW carry). This is alleviated by replacing the zipper lanyard on one of the two zippers with a slightly longer length of cord.I didn't get this at a discounted rate or free. I paid real money for it and don't even regret it.

Great lumbar pack but lose the key cip and tether.
Excellent quality and design. Exactly what I needed. Only problem was when the key hook in the outside packet got caught in the zipper and made it impossible to work the zipper open. I eventually opened it just enough to cut the key hook and tether out. End of problem. I'll bet this piece lasts a good, long time.

Nice waist pack!
Really cool size and design. Also well made as I’d expect from Mountainsmith. My one complaint is I prefer zippers without cover flaps. The cover flaps kind of interfere with the zipper so it takes some care to get open/closed.

Great for EpiPens
This works well for me to carry me EpiPens along with me on walks. I can also fit my iPhone 6+ inside and keys. I think I also was able to squish in some snacks the other week for a hike. Overall, this is a great lumbar pack for walkers and hikers who need to take a few things with them.

NIce bag for cycling
Bought this to replace my older Mountainsmith bag that was stolen. This one is nice size, with several compartments to store your things in. Seems to be durable and well made.
