I am giving it a 4 star because my package came open, this is the first time that happens but thankfully product was not damage or scratched. Product seems like good quality for price.

These shackle points are fantastic! They fit my Tacoma perfectly, and allow me to attach anchor shackles to them. I prefer shackles to tow hooks because they're easier to attach to. These are super beefy and sturdy. My frame will bend before these will break.

The shackle brackets are very well made in my opinion. Good heavy gauge steel and the welds look acceptable. After removing the original towing bracket on my truck I noticed how it was held on by 2 bolts instead of 1. It is also more toward the center of the truck and appears to be frame mounted. These brackets sit further out to the edges and only use 1 bolt to secure them. The bracket also has a slotted hole. I have no doubt the brackets themselves are heavy duty enough to pull the truck. My main concerns are where and how they mount. By just having 1 bolt in the center, if you were to pull at an angle the bracket is going to want to rotate and it is definitely not frame attached. After carefully inspecting everything up close I feel these offer a lot curb appeal and look nice but I don’t think they will give you the true towing or pulling power as the stock hook you will be removing. They are well made and priced accordingly but check them out as you install them and make your own decision if there is an equal balance between looking good and effective duty they will be replacing. 4🌟’s for now. I will do some testing and if I need to add to this review, it will be updated.

The quality of construction is good. The design could be improved by having more weld material between the center bushing and the two ears that come from the frame. As it is now, there's not much structure to transfer the load on the bushing to the side frames. This will probably not be a problem but for the most severe pulls and situations requiring maxing out the tow force. But just a little more weld bead would greatly improve the design. Refer to attached pictures marked up from the review by "*chillin* in Virginia", to see what I mean. The yellow lines are where the failure points would occur (my judgement, B.S. M.E.). The pink line is where I'd add weld to increase the ultimate failure load.Another reviewer (*chillin* in Virginia) pointed out the single bolt mounting and the potential problems at the truck interface. I'm not too concerned with that as I plan to weld this tow point to an implement.

I really love my Nilight Trailer Hitch Tri-Ball Mount with Hook and Rotatable Tow Anti-Theft 3/4” Shackle. This thing is heavy duty. It has so many options for towing. It is made for a 2" receiver and locks in place with a locking hitch pin. "The 3 Ball Tow Hitch with a Hook provides four different options: 1-7/8 inch- GTW 5000LBS; 2 inch - GTW 6,000LBS; 2-5/16 inch - GTW 10,000LBS; and with a Hook - GTW 10,000LBS."I was concerned about the shackle, but it screws in place and has an anti-theft locking screw that uses a hex Allen key.Overall, nice heavy duty product.
